MIND GAMES (3rd part)

mind_games.jpgSatan’s major crave is to receive worship. The only way to actualize this crazy yearn is by making beings to throng his presence to solve the problems he actually designed. To seek Lucifer is to be alienated from the true God, called Jehovah. Some of the many ways of seeking satanic aid are belomancy (A method of divination by arrows, a number of which are marked in certain ways, then mixed and drawn) see Hosea 4:12; hepatoscopy (divination by the examination of the liver), rhabdomancy (throwing of sticks or arrows in the air to seek demonic guidance), teraphim (use of images for divination), necromancy (communication with the dead) Deuteronomy 18:11; 1 Samuel 28:8; 2Kings 21:6; Leviticus 19:32, 20:6 & Isaiah 8:19-20. Astrology (reading the stars and coming to conclusion on the bases of their positions and relation to each other) of which Isaiah 47:13 and Jeremiah 10:2 teach God’s position and hydromancy (divination by water) done either by noting the reflections, or inducing a trance by this means (Genesis 44:5, 15).

‘Divination’ found in Ezekiel 21:21 is qesem (keh’-sem): ‘a lot’ (through witchcraft) which is from the root word qasam (kaw-sam): ‘to distribute, that is, determine by lot or magical scroll; by implication to divine’. This is what Lucifer does always: distribution of polluted enrichment from the heart of egregious wickedness. ‘Bright’ is qalal (kaw-lal’): ‘to be (causatively make) light, literally (swift, small, sharp,’ and the definition that best suits in this context is ‘swift’ because what he actually did was to ‘shake’ the arrows either in the quiver or in the air, each having been marked with intended location. Where the arrow points or the inscription on the arrow which comes up first is the oracular choice; this is belomancy.

Not satisfied, Nebuchadnezzar ‘consulted’ {sha’al or sha’el (shaw-al’): ‘to ask, enquire, borrow, beg’} with ‘images’, which in Hebrew is: teraphıym (ter-aw-feme’): ‘idolatry, idols, image(s), teraphim, family idol: a kind of idol used in household shrine or worship’. Images of idolatry are ancestral demon spirits (they are the ‘familiar spirits’ who are actually consulted by diviners who are able to give very accurate past deeds of an individual; (cool game), which Lucifer, the devil, uses to place a binding curse of an allegiance. When a person agrees to play games a demon is assigned to assume absolute control, not only of the individual but on his progenitors down the generations. I come from a family of masquerade idolatry, and my surname, Ojewale means, ‘the masquerade comes home’. The head of the ancestral masquerades is called, Alaaake, meaning ‘axer i.e. owner or wielder of axe’; a very powerful entity who is consulted especially for protection and the fruit of the womb.

Finally, after having received a guarantee from the ‘assurance policy’ of his teraphim (Alaaake gives a special assurance to his ‘children’ during the annual masquerade worship festival), the Bible says, “he looked in the liver”, because he wanted to be in possession of an indubitable ‘go ahead’ to a successful campaign. How I wish Christians will seek the LORD in this way! The word ‘liver’ is: ‘kabed (kaw-bade’): ‘the liver; the liver (as the heaviest organ)’. This is hepatoscopy, the divination of which is by cutting, especially, a bird in two; and before it dies the liver is observed by touching it or throwing it up and where it faces as it splits is the answer to the enquiry.

Hosea 4:12, “My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused them to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God”; is a clear warning against belomancy and rhabdomancy. The word, ‘staff’ maqqel or maqqelah (mak-kale) going by BDB Definition: ‘rod, staff a. rod, stick b. staff (in travel) c. wand (of diviner)’. “There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, 11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). These verses warn against divination, astronomy, belomancy, witchcraft and familiar spirits, which Saul (first king of Israel) was guilty of in 1Samuel 28:8 and Manasseh (the worst and most idolatrous king of Judah) perpetrated in 2Kings 21:6; of which God had warned in Leviticus 19:32, 20:6 & Isaiah 8:19-20. Manasseh whose name means ‘causing to forget’ decided, like so many, to forget their Maker, unfortunately.

“…Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things…” Isaiah 47:13 is God’s prophetic challenge to Babylonian idolatrous dependence on astrological proclivity. Jeremiah 10:2, “Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them”. The word ‘dismayed’ is: chathath : (khaw-thath’): ‘to prostrate; hence to break down, either (literally) by violence, or (figuratively) by confusion and fear’. After all said and done the mind game will leave an unpleasant sour taste in the mouth of players. Genesis 44:5, “Is not this it in which my lord drinketh, and whereby indeed he divineth? ye have done evil in so doing”. ‘Indeed’ and ‘divineth’ have the same word: nachash : (naw-khash’): ‘to hiss, that is, whisper a (magic) spell; generally to prognosticate’. In verse fifteen ‘divine’ has the same nachash and it is hydromancy that is meant, which Egyptians and Easterners still practise. We cannot expect Joseph, a pious man, to delve into what he had merely designed to get his brothers to do what he wanted.

Elijah, in Hebrew, is ‘elıyah ‘elıyahu (ay-lee-yaw’) {Elijah or Eliah} means “my God is Jehovah” or ” Yah(u) is God”. As bold and courageous this prophet of God is, he did allow himself to be brought under Satan’s mind control. The fascinating thing about Elijah was that he had just dealt decisively with hundreds of idolatrous prophets of Baal, to prove the supremacy of his Jehovah. “Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time” (1Kings 19:2). One expects the great Elijah to summon a second contest to prove the Almightiness of his God, but let us read the account of the Bible in the next 3rd and 4th verses, “And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there. (4) But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers”.
