Judge Not (part four)

4)            Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” It pleases the LORD God to throw away the sentence of our sinfulness which explicitly says in Ezekiel 18:4 “Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.” God, Who had, before the foundation of the world, decided to save mankind, established the soteriological programme called eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Colossians 3:2-4 2) “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3) For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4) When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.” Who is the Christ? He is the uncreated Eternal Second Member of the Godhead: very God of very God. If it says that our lives are hidden in Him, unless the One which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty loses His Divine righteousness, we forever remain righteous before the thrice holy God Who eternally sits on the empyrean throne. As eternally long the Christ lives, we live in Him forever – people of Divine regeneration. So, let us go back to the topic of wearing of jerry curls by Christian males.

When the nails of toes and fingers grow long, do we not cut them for the sake personal propriety? We attend the barbershop to choose the haircut we deem suitable. When we were babies did we not sport curly hair? What then is wrong with wanting to put the beauty of curl back on the head, especially, when it is understood that the baby’s cute, curly hair is God’s creative endowment? Just show me, from the Bible, where hair beautification is disallowed. The same reasons account for ladies’ desire to wear wigs, as long as this decision to beautify the head does not emanate from a seductive intention to lure men into concupiscence.

Is judgement against the use of jewelry righteous or unrighteous? They forget that the friend of God bought jewelries for his wife; and if it was wrong the LORD, his God, would have told him. Genesis 24:22 “And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden earring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold;” that man is Eliezer of Damascus, Abraham’s eldest servant.

Many pastors, who believe man’s deeds earns him righteousness are too quick to cite an occasion in Israeli forty years of the wilderness dwell to teach against the use of jewelries. Exodus 32:2 “And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me.” The golden ornaments were used to create false god. They – unlearned pastors – will use a Scriptural documentation, eisegetically, to outlaw the use of jewelries, especially, that of resultant Divine intervention in Exodus 33:5-6 5) “For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee. 6) And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb.” Two chapters away from this incident we see the same LORD God spoke through Moses “And Moses spake unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the LORD commanded, saying” (Exodus 35:4), and we read in the next verse: “And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing hearted, and brought bracelets, and earrings, and rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold: and every man that offered offered an offering of gold unto the LORD” (Exodus 35:22).

The gold offering was meant to beautify the temple of God. Will the most holy and Most High Jehovah allow an object of profanity in adornment of the temple where His children assemble to worship Him? Is ornamentation of the Christian person an unrighteous deed, especially, when we take into account of the fact that the Church is a woman of Jesus? Let us go and look at the end of a parable given by Jesus to teach Divine forgiveness in Luke 15:22 “But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:” the robe signifying the righteousness of God the born again Christian is wrapped in forever, the ring stands for the authority over Satanism and the shoes representing his holy and righteous walk before the LORD God, Who has thus promoted the Christian to rule by His holy side. God the Father judges the Christian as being spiritually righteous because His life has been transferred into that of Christianity.

It is, from all I have said, so far, for anyone to say or believe that, we cannot judge because we are not God. All I am saying in conclusion is that our comminatory judgements, whether mild or censorious, must find justification in the revealed Word of God, the Bible. If not, just jettison the idea. Simple!

To get born again, say, believing every word of it, this prayer:
