Judge Not (part three)

Can there be a true breach of righteousness in Christianity? A good study of Scripture points abundantly otherwise. That which makes one a born again Christian – child of God – is never earned as a result of an individual’s righteousness. It is strictly a Divine gift after one has genuinely accepted the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Does a Christian dwell in righteousness by his good deeds? Philippians 3:9 “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:” shows clearly that my human righteousness cannot account for the soteriological quiddity. Romans 5:21 says, “That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.” Can we not see very clearly that the righteousness question has been theologically met in Christ Jesus? The Book of John explicitly told us in the verse that happens to be the microcosm of the entire Bible that on account of the love God showered on those who believe in the finished work the sanguineous Golgotha, He gave to us what is called eternal life.Read More

I have always maintained that, “If I see you, and hear you do a thing, I’ll judge you.” When I see two unmarried male and female in active coition, my judgment is simple, “You have committed the sin of fornication.” You entered another person’s apartment and you came out with the owner of the apartment’s phone, and the person asked, “Who made an entrance into my flat,” wanting to know who had taken his phone and you keep mum. I ask you what you went there for, and you brazenly tell me, “I didn’t go there;” I will call you a thief. Why? I saw you when you entered and when you walked out pocketing the phone which you and I know is not yours. If you happen to be seated by me in a public transport and receiving a phone call, you tell the caller, “I am standing at the Local Government Council Chairman’s door; call me in two hours’ time,” I will judge your act, and call you, “A liar!” I will judge you when I see you and hear you loudly and clearly; and I will not be running into any misbehaviour because my judgment is not a rash one. This is what we should be talking about: unrighteous judgment. We can judge as long as it is in strictness of righteousness.Read More

Verse one of Matthew chapter 7 is, number one, the preamble to what Jesus actually wanted to enrich man’s faculty of understanding with. Number two, verse one is not the conclusion; the concluding wholesomeness of this teaching is in the second verse. Half truths can be dangerously misleading. True contextual paraphrase of the two verses is like this: “Do not tag another with rash criticism, in order not to deserve sharp criticism. Because the degree of your wrong judgement will your criminality be.” We always forget that verse one does not stand alone. It is only complete in the next verse two. Jesus is, from this part of the long Sermon on the Mount, warning against censoriousness. “Don’t judge” is one of the didactic faux pas that thrives unnecessarily, and quite disappointingly, on various pulpits. Scriptural facticity points to righteous and unrighteous judgements. There are not three types of judgements. There are only two and they are righteous and unrighteous judgments. Read More

God did not wait till we got it right with Him before swinging into His peculiar love action before performing the Golgotha phenomenality. While we were still reeking of Satan's designed sinfulness, the Bible says, “Christ died for us.” Love is not a feeling; it is a commitment. For the husband’s companion, it says, “Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord” (Colossians 3:18). This subjection is absolutely appropriate as it is in acknowledgment of the order established by God. ‘It is fit’ is one Greek word anēkō (an-ay’-ko) meaning: ‘be proper.’ For the woman, the best thing I will admonish is never to marry someone who has no wisdom. Marrying a stupid person is to be lorded by stupidity all the days of married life. Good leadership is of great essence in our social life. Very political is the derivative notion of Proverbs 29:2 “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.” The word 'authority’ is what many do not seem to apprehend well enough. It is the Hebrew râbâh (raw-baw’): ‘to increase (in whatever respect) i.e. in number, riches, political power.’ How can it not be an act of criminality of wickedness when fellow countrymen must decide to appropriate the commonwealth of the nation into their personal use, leaving the hoi polloi groaning in poverty? Various governmental institutions of the world are neck deep in Satanism. This phenomenal facticity sets them in hostility against God, plunging the political leaders in spiritual vagabondism. The true reason behind nation’s disobedience to God’s commandment is not farfetched, Satan is called the god of this world. Selah!Read More

Does the Devil push one into something without an evil purpose? Delilah brought Samson’s office of a Judge to an end, all because Samson, Judge of Israel, who should know better chose to stray from God’s protocolary order of establishment. One millimeter stray away from God’s command leaves one too vulnerable for manipulations of Satanism. Let us come to an observation. Convinced that in Israel is the protective salvation from the Creator, Rahab became a preacher of God’s truth. The name Rachab (raw-chawɓ') means: ‘proud.’ It takes a one ready to change by knowing that one is on the wrong path and with humbleness of heart, believe that salvation comes from the Word of God. Rahab made a volte-face from what she was known for, and embraced the way of Jehovah. God is truly not a respecter of persons. What catches my attention is what Ruth said in the Book of Ruth 1:16 “And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:” and that which makes Israel, the people she had made her mind to be hers, tick is the LORD God, Whom she had strongly resolved to worship.Read More

What sense will it ever make, trying to maneuver oneself into competitive latria with the LORD God, the Creator, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty? Lucifer did commit this bodacity in the heavenly assizes of the Rainbow Administration of the Godhead. By the time you think you are good enough to stand on your own, without the support of the LORD God, you have strayed, a berserk soul, far and wild and have wandered into spiritual vagabondism. It is the ultimate determination of Satan to derail as many as can be deceived into vagabond stray of spiritual oblivion. Dead, eternally, as he is. Gatecrashing the Eden Garden of Adam and Wife, his sole aim was to send them to early death. It was the shock of Lucifer’s life – of billions of years – when they would not fall and die. How could they remain alive? Satan did not know that it was all the grace of second chance – God breathed two lives in the Adamic creation. “There must be another way,” Cain believed, in sharp contrast to what his parents continued to teach him, believing he too would teach God’s doctrine to his own children and children’s children. Shame! Satan does not waste any time in getting you hijacked once you warm up to his maniacal advances.Read More
