Temptations Should Not Freak One Out (2)

Chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people
2) The Word of God goes on to give a soothing unequivocalness that, “God faithful will not suffer us to be tempted above that we are able.” The peculiarity of faithful believers in the Word of God goes beyond personal characteristic when one understands its theological essence found in 1Peter 2:9-10 “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10) Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” The word ‘peculiar’ is peripoiēsis (per-ee-poy’-ay-sis): ‘acquisition (the act or the thing); by extension preservation; possession, one’s own property; an obtaining.’
All you need to remind yourself of during trial – which strictly is about your faith – is that you are in absolutely ownership of the Divine Almighty. You may not see it, but He is right by your side in awesomeness of His Omnipotence, Omniscience and Omnipresence – a disastrous dread to Satanism. He is there watching over you; knowing that the assimilation of His Word in your heart will keep reminding you of Whose child and possession you are. Five times, in 1Thessalonians 5:9 (obtain); 2Thessalonians 2:14 (obtaining); 1Peter 2:9 (peculiar); Ephesians 1:14 (possession); and Hebrews 10:39 (saving), the word peripoiēsis is used in the New Testament. Five is the number of grace. By Divine graciousness of God Faithful we are protected for an expected end. Hallelujah!

Is God not good? He is very good.
Does God not know that your burning desire is to stand out in victory over any bedeviling impasse? Exhorting us never to capitulate, He tells us, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jeremiah 29:11). When Jehovah tells you He knows, it is best that you know that that knowledge is from the eternality of His Omnisciency! Let us look at some of the words of this verse. ‘Thoughts’ from Jeremiah 29:11 is machăshâbâh (makh-ash-aw-baw’): ‘device; invention; a contrivance, that is, (concretely) a texture, machine, or (abstractly) intention, plan (whether bad, a plot ; or good, advice).’ Shâlôm (shaw-lome’) is Hebraic for ‘peace’ meaning: completeness (in mind), welfare, safety, soundness (in body); health, prosperity.’ The next word, ‘expected’ is tiqvâh (tik-vaw’): ‘hope, literally a cord (as an attachment; figuratively expectancy.’ The last word ‘end’, ‘achărı̂yth (akh-ar-eeth’), means: ‘after part, issue, event, latter time (prophetic for future time); posterity. “End,” from contextual stance of Jeremiah 29:11, means “a happy issue.”
The gospel truth is this: ever before you encounter any problematic issue, the LORD God, the Inventor, had built in you every contrivance that will ensure your success over temptations. The good Lord had, even before we were born, thought and decided how to fortify us against the wiles of Satanism. He had, in His thought, devised a metaphysical contrivance aptly dwelling in the Scriptures, which when one wields by faith, it enables one to use the cord of hope to climb oneself up away from danger; or to pull one out of a quicksand to safety. It is always the will and the joy of the Lord God to see us through difficulties, and making sure that temptations result in expectancy of happy issues for us. Amen.

In the very long days of Job’s trials his very good friends said all kinds of discouraging words to a seemingly useless Job. Do not allow your trials or temptations to force you to see yourself as a worthless piece of animation. That, exactly, is what Satanism wants to keep drumming into your head, psychologically defeating you. The ontological essence of your creation carries Divine gene of the Image of God. Search deep into God’s Word. There is a Logos application needed to make you an overcomer. The pious Job asseverated, “For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth” (Job 19:25): and in another instance, showing his firm belief in the LORD God,
“But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold” (Job 23:10). Job, the pious and loyal child of God did not die in the long days of his temptation. The Bible records, “So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses. 16) After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons’ sons, even four generations” (Job 42:12-16). Hallelujah!

Getting born again is a conscious effort on the part of an individual. Get born again. Say this sinner’s prayer.
“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
