CONJUGAL PALAVER (2)

(…continued from part one…)

Do the womenfolk not still think themselves much smarter than their husbands? They got it from you know who –Eve. Who was the first created human? Adam, the male. Who was the first political ruler on earth? Nimrod. Who was the first to experience rapture without tasting death? The wisest king? The first recorded strongest of mankind, who was the person? Who is still regarded as the wisest of humanity? Solomon. The woman was the first to fall into sin, but who died for the redemption of mankind? The best singer, cook, athlete, fashion designer and scientist are all males; even the global one hundred richest people in prosperity, is each one of them not the man?

Stupidity lent Adam, the man, a hand. Tragically he took the evil hand of ungodliness (got into an unholy wedlock -unknown to him- with the Evil one). Adam lost the Divine-donated dominion of the earth. Sad! Rather than admit his culpability Adam tried to shift the blame with another stupid, “The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat” Adam, were you trying to indict the LORD God? Couples are not truthful enough to own up to their inadequacies. Yes, Mr. Husband, you are the head of the home. But when you goof, admit that you have been a jerk! There is nothing to be ashamed of, because God expects us to exhibit a character of integrity. Amen!

You weren’t deceived. Adam, you shouldn’t have allowed this!

How he got himself into this mess still continues to knock one’s mind into an unfathomable befuddlement. A Yoruba proverb says, “It’s with one’s mouth that’s used to reject a meal.” Of all the hundreds of edibles in Eden why should this very cursed fruit be the one to be tasted? It did not occur to the intelligence of the man that this sinful acceptance was the earth’s inaugural installation of Satanism. It was an endorsement of the woman’s apostasy –what Adam did. This was the beginning of Adamic palaver of conjugal relationship. The eating of the forbidden fruit placed God’s institution at the mercy of the merciless Lucifer.

Loveless marriage

Having tasted of evil, it was not difficult for the adversary to whisper the next stupidity of, “The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat” [Genesis 3:12]. Jawejura is a Yoruba parlance which literally means ‘throw leaves around the body.’ It is used in reference to a raving lunatic. Genesis 3:7 has, and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. The third stupid act of Adamic sinfulness proves that a stroll away from God causes dementia. Manipulation of Satanism easily told them to hide from the omniscient eyes of Jehovah, whose omnipresence is indubitable. Satan began the matchmaking of people based on sentimentalism. Asylums got on the increase. Marital homes became the lodging places for spiritually incongruous couples. Wonder why divorce cases are on the increase as the days roll by? The Devil hates God’s institution of marriage. With maniacal cackles we allow him to attack marriages.

Conjugal palaver is of Satanism

Satanic incursion collapsed the institution, giving room for Cain to be installed as the priest of Satan’s religion. Religion espouses the worshipper to the deity. The marriage institution suffered a huge blow when Lamech, in Genesis chapter five, married two wives, the first in human history of conjugation. Lamech means ‘destruction.’ Cain’s sister, who also doubles as wife his is not named. The reason for it is not farfetched. The religion of Satanism must be shrouded in the secrecy known of the occult minaciousness. The first of Lamech’s wives is called `Adah (aw-daw’) in Hebrew and it means: ‘ornament.’ His second wife was Zillah, Tsillah (tsil-law’) in Hebrew, meaning: ‘shadow or fugitive.’ An ornament, just like another furniture and of course, a shadow of its original authorship; into this is what Lucifer turned God’s well intentioned marriage, intended to legalize Adamic relationship with God, the Eternal Creator. When Adam married the Woman, it was a conjugal union with his sister. What happened? God became Adam’s Father-in-law, who already was His Father –having created both directly with His hands.

The marital palaver can be taken care of very easily. Let the man love the Lord with all his heart, mind, thoughts and strength. Let him seek the face of the Creator in every situation, no matter how inconsequential. Let him love his wife with the love of Jesus. Ephesians 5:25 reads, Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; Colossians 3:19 instructs, Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. The word ‘love’ is agapao (ag-ap-ah’-o) ‘to love (in a social or moral sense) {chiefly of the heart (wholehearted, unconditional, devoted). Agapao, the verb form of agape (ag-ah’-pay) is different from phileo (fil-eh’-o) which is chiefly ‘of the head (feelings, conditional, sentimental)}.’

This is what the Bible says in the book of Colossians 3:18, “Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.” What is ‘submit yourselves’ in Greek? It is hupotassō (hoop-ot-as’-so): ‘to arrange under, to subordinate; reflectively to obey.’ The woman is the Church. The Church obeys the Lord Jesus, the Head of the Church. What engenders the conjugal palaver is the man’s inability to love the wife as unconditionally as Christ Jesus loves the Church and died for her. The wife’s contumacious proclivity destroys the spiritual equilibrium of the home.
