SCRIPTURAL SMALL-MINDEDNESS (3)

Pastor S.O., who, in all vehement seriousness, sees me as being too small to find fault with Adeboye sees nothing wrong in the habit of members of the RCCG going to kneel before the G.O.’s seat after Church service to offer special prayers, placing their hands on the seat as a point of divine contact. “I have done that sometimes myself,” Pastor S.O. proudly admits, not knowing that the act proves his spiritual puerility. Does the Bible not record the teaching of, “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Matthew 17:20). You see, spiritual small-mindedness will lead you to your despicable minification. That which makes the likes of S.O. to clothe Adeboye in infallibility, will accord the G.O. supererogatory latria without they being aware of it! Are the ‘dead saints' of Catholicism not prayed to, with bended knees? It is nothing short of latria! Now let us look at the theological faux pas of G.O. Adeboye’s actions. Unbeknown to the G.O. his instruction to the praying congregants to focus on a mere staff is an introduction to idolatry. The staff has its history. It was given to him by his spiritual predecessor, Pastor Josiah Akindayomi, the founder of the church, which was originally a ‘White Garment’ church. White garment churches are known for so many unscriptural stuffs. They believe that only the true members in their midst are the white robbed worshippers among them. Angels are empyreal white-stainless-robbed before God: their white garmented justification. They use all kinds of materials in carrying out deliverance services, which include eggs, candles and palm fronds – quite fetish. Read More

Is the Pope not setting himself up as the LORD God? Centuries prior to Papal Infallibility, the Council of Trent, held in the year 1545, declared that Tradition is of equal authority with the Bible. By Tradition is meant human teachings. The Pharisees believed the same way, and Jesus condemned them, for by human tradition they nullified the commandments of God. This, Jesus told them in Mark 7:7-8 “Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 8) For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.” Apostle Paul warned us in the writing of Colossians 2:8 “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” They are not even afraid not to fall short of Revelation 22:18, “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:” the warning of our LORD God, through John. As various congregations tore themselves from the umbilical cord of the Catholic Church, they forgot to rid themselves entirely of certain beliefs, ergo, for centuries what had continued to be taught seemed like the truth owing to the fact that when you continue to repeat a falsehood into your system, it eventually becomes an unconscionably irrevocable fact.Read More

I asked a professed, tongues speaking, Christian, Brother A., what he thinks of the unbiblical act of the General Overseer of The RCCG, Pastor E.A. Adeboye’s claim that the LORD God told him to gather leaders of all global faiths and take power from politicians of the world for failing to provide good government and ultimately “bring peace to the world.” The young man said, “I cannot judge him.” The third man in this discourse, Pastor S.O., in visibly fit of effusive rage, “How can you condemn, him? It is Father Adeboye we are discussing here!” was Pastor S.O.’s vehement contribution, in his firm and unresolved belief that I am too small to investigate Adeboye’s utterances. Is G.O. Adeboye more scripturally knowledgeable than Simon Peter, who followed Jesus for three and a half years, who also is one of the Apostolic Fathers that nurtured the nascent Church into adulthood? What else does S.O. believe? “The LORD God of the Bible could have given Adeboye this information;” and in conclusion of his thought, “or were you there when God told Papa Adeboye not to do so?” Another worker in RCCG told me in the distant past, “A ò lè so’pé kòrí béè; nítorí i Bàbá Adeboye r’Ólórun jù wá lo.” The literal English translation of this Yoruba submission is: “We can’t say it is not true; Father Adeboye sees (i.e. knows, meets or understands) God more than we do.” Read More

WHO IS GREATEST AMONG THE PERSONS OF THE TRINITY? (Seven)

Jesus Christ as the Creator, Governor and the Preserver of the redeemed, fills perfectly and completely the entire universe even to overflowing. This fact has the corroboration of Colossians 3:11. The problem with Lucifer is that he cannot, like all intelligent beings of the creationism, produce a physical manifestation of himself in more than one place. How does the sworn enemy of Jehovah make dubious multiple manifestation of himself? Demons – there are billions of them – show up in different places of Satanism and even communicate with the worshippers of idolatry, who believe the true God of heaven has spoken, not knowing that shenanigan of Satanism is at work. The LORD God of the Bible is quite different. The Father sitting in the heavenly assizes sees all, knows all and does all. His physical manifestation to His creation is the Truth, in the Person of Christ, the eternal Word. Jesus, the True Light, knows all and just like the Father, sees and does all. The energizing Person of the Godhead, the Holy Spirit of both the Father and the Son, takes a dwelling in man. In the Old Testamentary order He sits on the head of individuals to direct their divine missions. Read More

What mind of intelligence wields the capability to make a counting of the stars, not only that, but also to call each one by the given name, when there are approximately 200 billion trillion stars or, to put it another way, 200 sextillion in the universe? Only the LORD God, of Whom the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge are unsearchable, Whose judgments, and His ways are past finding out knows omnisciently! And another truth is that this sagacious encomium is equally applicable to the Christ and the Holy Spirit. The number seven is symbolic of His perfect divinity. He is an Individual Person yet His manifold exertion in diverse functionality of Church administration all over the world has Scriptural evidence. The Holy Spirit is called the Seven Spirits; the perfect, mystical number seven indicating unity through diversity and of His Omnipotence, omniscience and Omnipresence.Read More

Some may want to ask, “Why did Jesus say that the day of the end-time is unknown to all save the Father?” They believing that even Jesus, by His pronouncement, agrees that He does not know the day of tribulation. What many Bible readers do not understand is that there is a difference between the humanity of Him as Jesus, and His Divinity as the Christ, Who is the Word of God. Uncreated: for He exists before the creation of time. If through Him all things visible and invisible came into being, then He is truly God’s Fellow of Whom the Scripture says, “Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him” (Proverbs 8:30): where ‘one brought up’ is the Hebrew 'amown (aw-mone'): ‘skilled, i.e. an architect [probably in the sense of training].’ Can the historical documentation of universal occurrences ever stumble on a particular time when the Father and the Son walked side by side, growing up as brothers or as in architectural training? The Members of the Trinity, absolutely complete, do not grow in wisdom, stature or age. The Christ is as eternal as the Father, so is the Holy Spirit. Christ, ergo, knows everything including “the end of the world” of Matthew 24:3-36; it is just that this information was not passed on to the knowledge of Jesus, who happens to be His humanity and the covering of His Divinity.
