Is Christmas Of Idolatry? (2)
(…continued from part one…)
2) The same Personage, called upon in Genesis 1:3 by the Eternal Father, went on with the creationism of days one, two, three, four, five and that of day six -when He created the apogee of creationism: Adam. The Lord God who created the first six days of the earth did something on the seventh. Genesis 2:2-3 “And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3) And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.” And from those seven days of creationism has man begun to address the measurement of time.
A year must go through weeks –each of seven days. God made sure no human calculation devices a shift from seven days of the week. He that owned day one also owned the last seventh. Does His bracketing of the days not remind one of Revelation 1:8, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty”? If He owns every day, and human flaws have erroneously given worship days to some deities of human idolatrous proclivities, it should be pellucid enough to note that man has been stealing the Lord’s latria days to perform dishonourable acts. December 25th was mere a stolen latria day.
His birth drew highly notable intellectuals from the East. Matthew 2:1-2, “Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2) Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.” They went in search of the God-incarnate. The Bible says, “And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh” [Matthew 2:11]. Now, what day of the week it turned out to be –for the Bible is silent on it— we cannot tell. We are, however, not unmindful of this facticity: that this Personage, who has historical backing of His earthly existence, also owns all days. Regardless of the stolen days of idol worship, there is no observed day commemorating His birthday by His mystical body, the Church, which should bring dishonour to the Person of the Lord our Saviour. Amen.
Saturday (day of Saturn) is an idolatrous honour to the Roman god of agriculture and vegetation. Cronus is the Greek counterpart of Saturn. Did God observe this profanity when He commanded, “Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it holy” [Exodus 20:8]; and made an elaboration with, “But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates” [Exodus 20:10]? It was unnecessary: for He is the universal Landlord and the Governor of the nations!
‘Household of God Church’ service
The born again Christians even the children of God hold holy assemblage before the thrice holy God on Sundays. We do this simply because our Saviour rose from the dead on this day. Sunday, let us not forget, is an idolatrous day of sun worship. The sun deity is none other than Nimrod. We do midweek service on Wednesday. This midweek comes from the English Woden’s day or the Latin Mercury’s day. It has an idolatrous affinity with the Old Norse Odin, the mythological father of Thor, the Thunder god of Thursday. The Devil, Lucifer, has stolen every day and month with his religious idolatry.
On the seventh or the Sabbath day He rested, commanding us to honour that Sabbath.
Rising from the dead, Christ suffered us to name Sunday as the ‘Lord’s Day.’ Revelation 1:10 “I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,” and supporting this verse are: John 20:19; John 20:26; Acts 20:7 and 1Corinthians 16:2.
The same Creator who did rest on the seventh comes to the first day of the week to rest. What has He done? The Lord of creation has bracketed the nucleus of time! Every day is now a Sabbath day -of His worship.
Christmas of the 25th December of every year is the Lord’s Day. It comes between the first and the seventh day of the creation week. Praise the Lord!
