JOHN 3 VERSE 16 AND ISLAM (Three)

Herein is the love of God manifest (1Peter 1:18-19)

(…continues from part 2…)

3)            What did God give? John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” The word ‘made’ is ginomai (ǰiy’-no-mai): ‘1. to cause to be (“gen”-erate). 2. (reflexively) to become (come into being). 3. (of events) to happen.’ The word ‘made’ is not of creation, hence, the WORD is not an object of creationism. John did not use the Greek poieo (poi-ye’-ō), found in Matthew 19:4, which means: ‘to make or do i.e. create.’ Ginomai tells us that the WORD was not flesh before He became flesh, that is, human being. God’s gift, His Word, is an uncreated Second Member of the Godhead, Christ is very God of very God. God gifted the sinful world Himself! Amen!

John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.” How can the Christ be residing in the bosom of the Father? Jesus says in John 10:38 “…that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.” Also, in Luke 10:22 is His declaration of, “…and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.” This is the reason why no man has at any given time seen the Eternal Father! The word ‘declare’ of John 1:18 is exēgeomai (ex-ayg-eh’-om-ahee): ‘unfold a teaching; the things relating to God; relate in full.’ In all absolute terms, only the Divine Being can unfold things relating to God in full. God has all the latitudinous of His being, His depth of existence and the height of His Almightiness in eternality of degrees. Who else can declare the Father but the Christ whose Omniscience, Omnipotence and Omnipresence cannot be doubted scripturally?

Isaac, the 2nd patriarch prefigures Christ: Godhead 2nd Member.

Genesis 22:12 “And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.” It was important for Abraham to be made to give up his son, Isaac, the second of the three patriarchs, giving God the legality of giving up also the Second Member of the Godhead for the salvation of man. Mark 12:6-7 Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son. 7) But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be our’s.” This parable Jesus told His audience in an intimation of His substitutionary death. To provide the soteriology its eternal feet of legality, it was necessitous, the day before the Passion Week, to enter the legalistic chambers of Mosaic script and make amendment suitable for the Church Age of the grace dispensation, when He said, “This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you” (Luke 22:20).

Romans 5:10 “For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.” This is one of the clearest pointers to the Scriptural fact that once saved, the Christian is eternally saved. We did not get ‘born again’ because of our righteous deeds. When we were yet sinners, God, in His beneficence chose to walk us in the path of righteousness. We became His beloved heirs through the reconciliation wrought in the death of His Son. By the divine life of Jesus Christ, we get saved and never by the sweats of our morality. Jesus died once to save us. And because Jesus lives forever after His resurrection, the salvation of a Christian is as the eternal life of the resurrected Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Romans 8:32 “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” God is the Giver of eternal life; having freely given His only begotten Son, it behooves Him to see to the eternality of our regenerated life of zoe. God is a businessman. He bought us with the life of Jesus, and as a good Businessman, would He want to lose the purchased object of His love, the born again Christian? As the heirs of the eternal LORD God, we are in Him and He is in us. We are one with the Most High. Hallelujah!

Who, therefore, are qualified to be God’s heir?

Getting born again is a conscious effort on the part of an individual. Get born again. Say this sinner’s prayer.

“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
