SALVATION FROM SIN (FOUR)
(…continues from PART THREE…)
4) “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” The preposition ‘in’ is en (en): ‘by, with etc. denoting (fixed) position (in place, time or state), and (by implication) instrumentality (medially or constructively), i.e. a relation of rest.’ Christians worship God in Truth (Christ) and in Spirit (the Holy Spirit) and the location of Christians is in the Divine preservation of Jesus Christ. On account of this facticity, we, of true Christianity, will never come to any spiritual condemnation. Every spiritual step of tread of Christianity is ordered by the Holy Spirit Himself so that our rejuvenated lives will continue to please our heavenly Father till the Rapture.
Romans 8:16-17“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17) And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” God’s child knows without any doubt whose divine progeny he is. We are so much elevated that we are joint-heirs with Christ, the Second Member of the Godhead. Romans 8:28-30 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29)For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30)Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”
Glorious Christianity
What glorious curriculum vitae every Christian possesses. This is another verse that stands in unequivocal veridicality of the security of salvation. This divine purpose was an agreement reached in the counsel of the Godhead ever before Adamic existence, in the eternity past. What is this word ‘predestinate’? It is proorizō (pro-or-id’-zo): ‘to predetermine, decide beforehand. In the NT of God decreeing from eternity; to foreordain; appoint beforehand.’ There is a Christian predestination to be ‘conformed,’ summorphos (soom-mor-fos’), meaning: ‘having the same form as another, similar,’ to the eternal image of Christ, the LORD God. To this end, three verbs in active sense – called, justified and glorified – do stand in glorious phenomenality observed in Christians’ adornment. The glorification, however, is stated as already consummated (constative aorists, all of them), though still in the future in the fullest sense; complete and certain in the Divine counsels. Amen!
Romans 8:33-34 “Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. 34) Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” To this verse, all I have to say is, “Selah!”
Romans 12:4-5
1Thessalonians 5:9 “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,” and the interesting reason is that our lives have been eternally bound to Jesus in indubitable apotheosis. “Ye are gods,” Jesus assures us. A further proof of the importance of our salvation is explained in 2Thessalonians 2:13-14 “But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: 14) Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
And there is undeniable scriptural fact as pertaining to our salvation in 1Peter 1:3-5 3) “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4) To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5) Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”
Jesus will give you rest only if you will receive His life. Get born again. Say this simple prayer:
“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
