REJECT THE WORDS OF JESUS TO YOUR OWN PERIL (5)

“…a virgin shall conceive…and shall call his name Immanuel” (Isaiah 7:14).
(…continues from part four…)
5) The erudition of Isaiah, who was both a historian and the prophet of Jehovah, wrote, “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel” (Isaiah 7:14). Not even once in the annals of the documentation of divine corpus of revelation did anyone ever address Jesus as Immanuel. It is found only in Divine afflation of bodement. Immanuel is quite apropos from the reading of Johannine: “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (John 1:14). The word ‘made’, in John 1:14, is not the Greek ktizō (ktid’-zo): ‘to create, form or shape.’ It is not poieō (poy-eh’-o): ‘to produce, construct, form, fashion.’ Ktizō or poieō will imply that the Christ is a product of the creationism.
The Greek word of Johannine employment in this verse is ginomai (ghin’-om-ahee): ‘to cause to be (“gen”-erate), that is, (reflexively) to become (come into being).’ The Christ, the eternal Word of God, became a man; He could only become what, from the eternality of the past, He was not. From the eternal past Jesus Christ was God, face to face with the Father, as the couch of the first verse means. The same historian and prophet of Jehovah wrote the famous “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6). These epithets –Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace – point, unquestionably, to the Deity of Jesus.

Messiah the Prince and the 70 weeks (Daniel 9:25)
Jeremiah 23:5-6 read: “Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. 6) In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.” Is it not foolhardy to reject the “Come unto Me” Fatherly approach of Jesus, seeing that He is the LORD our righteousness? Being addressed as a Branch of David is an attestation to His Messianic office. This Messiah is Royal. More than mundane majestic royalty is the epithet of LORD our Righteousness. The ‘LORD our righteousness’, is the Hebraic yehôvâh tsidqênû (ye-ho-vaw’ tsid-kay’-noo): ‘Jehovah (is) our right; Jehovah-Tsidkenu, a sacred, symbolical epithet of the Messiah and of Jerusalem.’ The Son of God is Jehovah Jesus. Amen.
Daniel 9:25 “Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.” This is the Scriptural seventy weeks; which unfolding events proved it not to be a literal 490 days but, in actual fact, four hundred and ninety years. Biblical historicity saw the ascension – after His resurrection – of Jesus exactly in the four hundred and eighty-third year after Daniel’s prediction. The remaining seven years has stretched into millennia – an intercalated Church Age – to preach the gospel of Christ which is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. What else can I do, save to exclaim the Pauline, “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out” (Romans 11:33)!

“Bethlehem, out of thee shall he come forth; have been, from everlasting” (Micah 5:2).
Micah 5:2 “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.” The Christ did not come into being in the womb of Mary (another product of creationism). He is the Incarnation of the LORD God, Whose existence predates eternity past. Zechariah 9:9 “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.” Zechariah penned this Book about 520 B.C. and when Prophet Zechariah was long dead, one day, as it is recorded in Matthew 21:1-11, one of the verses reads, “And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest” (Matthew 21:9). The same prophet had – breathed into him – the vaticination, “And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver” (Zechariah 11:12). Jesus Christ knew this would happen via the perfidiousness of Judas Iscariot because He is the One in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Get Jesus initiated by getting born again: pray this prayer, believing it with all your heart. Say,
“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
