REJECT THE WORDS OF JESUS TO YOUR OWN PERIL (7)

The stone which the builders refused
(…continues from part six…)
7) His incarnational quiddity is befittingly Divine design to save the fallen Adamic creature from eternal damnation, and to offer an immarcescible life of heavenly bliss. Jesus knew what He had come to do, and because of the love He has for mankind, whom He had created in His likeness and image, He endured it all. 41) “Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, 42) He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. 43) He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God” (Matthew 27:41-43). It did not occur to them that they were standing before the Lord of glory and frightfully fulfilling prophecy. 1Corinthians 2:8 “Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” Psalms 69:21“They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.”
You know what? No other person matches the Messianic ipseity other than Jesus in the history of mankind. The possibility of the Messiah not being Jesus of Nazareth is ratio one to one billion (1:1000000000), which, mathematically, proves the impossibility of another, other than Jesus, being the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

“…unto a place called Golgotha”
Scriptural reliability reveals the documentation of Him in Matthew 27:33-35 33) “And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull, 34) They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink. 35) And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.” The Christological reality is a Personage: which is, and which was, and which is to come; as the Alpha and the Omega He is the Almighty and protocolary documentation reveals Jesus as this Personage.
Psalm 110:1 “The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.” The first verse of this Psalm is not in any perceptive way a needless persiflage among the Persons of the Divine ones. Given the privilege to eavesdrop in Divine discourse through the agency of the Holy Spirit, David heard the LORD say to his Lord, “Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.” Now, the first ‘LORD’ – in capitals – is the Hebraic Yehôvâh (yeh-ho-vaw’): ‘the existing One Who is, by His own power.’ This is in reference to a particular Member of the Godhead – God the Father. The second ‘Lord’ is ‘âdôn (aw-done’): ‘Sovereign, i.e. controller (human or divine); ruler, master, owner.’ “Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool” is not a soliloquy. It is a discourse between Members of the Godhead.
‘Âdon is used of: a human master of servants (Genesis 24:14&27; Genesis 39:2 and Genesis 39:7); possessor (1Kings 16:24); kings, as lords of their subjects (Isaiah 26:13); the husband, as lord of a wife (Genesis 18:12); hence of God as the possessor and ruler of the world (Genesis 14:19; Deuteronomy 10:17; Psalms 24:1; 50:10; 115:16; Matthew 11:25 & Luke 10:21).The Greek Kurios (koo’-ree-os) has the same understanding of the Hebraic Yehôvâh, ‘ădônây, and ‘Âdon. The second ‘Lord’ to Whom the Eternal Father spoke is the Christ, of Whom one of His Messianic sobriquet is “Son of David,” is in real terms the “Lord of David”! As the king of Israel none can be said to be David’s Lord and Owner save God, the Creator. The Christ being the Sovereign LORD of David, makes Him, Jesus, the LORD God. Selah!

Psalms 118:22 “The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.” In the Book of Luke 20:1-19, Jesus used a parable to reveal Himself to the chief priest, scribes and the elders of Judaism. When they rejected His character of the parable, and the truth of the matter with, “God forbid,” His response was Luke 20:17 “And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner?” Of truth is the Scripture that says, “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14) In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15) Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16) For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17) And he is before all things, and by him all things consist” (Colossians 1:13-17). The word ‘consist’ is sunistaō (soon-is-tah’-o): ‘to place together, to set in the same place, to bring, hold or band together.’ You cannot jettison the Person of Jesus and expect the heavens to favour you. Now, one will understand why He told His disciples, “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing” (John 15:5).

Get Jesus initiated by getting born again: pray this prayer, believing it with all your heart. Say,
“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
