JESUS: The Saviour of the world

2)            This is what the Bible says when the Saviour spoke to all that were present in the house of Zacchaeus, “And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham. 10) For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:9-10). The word ‘save’ is the Greek sozo (sō’-zō): ‘to save, i.e. deliver or protect.’ None dares to make such soteriological asseveration: it is amétier only of God’s belonging. When the Lord taught them to pray, the first words are, “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name” (Matthew 6:9). Appropriating a certain Divine consanguinity to us having got born again, God’s Fatherhood of every follower of Jesus makes him a holy sibling of the Second Member of the Godhead, Jesus the Saviour. It was the purpose of God to step into the Adamic fall, make use of the soteriology to create holy, Divine siblings of the Most High; and there is no wondering why our place in the heavenly courtroom is right by the One Whose seat– totally guiltless – is at the right side of the Majesty!

                From a long time of the Old Testamentary order of days a prophet spoke the mind of God; “Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me” (Hosea 13:4). This verse corroborates Peterine asseveration of Acts 4:12. Before the historical reality of the Incarnation the Bible records the words of a messenger from heaven. Luke 2:10-11“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11) For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” Is Jesus the Christ? Definitely, Jesus is truly Christ the Lord. If He isnotof the Divinity, how can He say to Nicodemus “And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven” (John 3:13)?

Jesus is the holy One of Israel!

                The Samaritan woman went on an evangelistic trek about her town, “Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ” (John 4:29)? calling all to come and behold the expected Christ. They came. They heard Him like they never heard the word of God taught: for the WORD Himself spoke to them. They believed. And what happened? “And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world” (John 4:42). We heard from greatest among men, prior to the Golgotha substitutionary death, John the Baptist, in John 1:29, “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” John 6:68-69 reads, “Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 69) And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.” The word ‘sure’ is ginosko (ǰiy-nō’-skō): ‘1. to know (in a concrete manner, and not merely from a personal perspective or experience). 2. (emphatically) to absolutely know, to know without exception.’ What is Christ? It comes from the Hebraic Mashiyach (maw-shee’-ach): ‘1. anointed. 2. (usually) a person anointed and set apart (made holy) to God’s service (as a king, priest, or servant). 3. (specifically) the Messiah, the Anointed One.’ Jesus, assuredly, is the Christ, the Saviour-King, by Whom God gave Himself for the salvation of man.

The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations (Isaiah 52:10)

                Isaiah 52:10 “The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.” Not allowing any encumbrance, Jehovah, like the warrior that He is, bare His great biceps before the whole world in the salvation of Israel. The true Israel is the body of Christ, the born again people of the world. As the veil of the temple incredibly tore into two when Jesus, about to die, cried in a loud voice, the great hand of God’s warring arm was made manifest to Satan and his demons, who stood too stupefied even to utter one word. The ‘veil’ poroketh (po-reh’-keth) in Hebrew means: ‘1. a separatrix i.e. the (sacred) screen;’ and katapetasma (ka-ta-pe’-taz-ma) in Greek, is ‘1. a curtain, something spread thoroughly. 2. (specially) the curtain or screen partitioning off the Most Holy Place in the Jewish Temple.’ Israel was spiritually separated from the entire nations of the world. On this day of Matthew 27:50-52 documentation: “Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. 51) And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; 52) And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,” the wall of partition was removed, allowing salvation, first to the Jew then to the Gentile nations. Salvation wrought on the Calvary was made an availability to the whole world.

                Jesus will give you rest only if you will receive His life. Get born again. Say this simple prayer:

“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
