KING, SAVIOUR AND PRIEST (3)

3)            The Qur’an, which tends to boast of Bible outlook more than other religious books, asseverates that the Islamic Allah is the only Saviour. Al-An’am 6:64, “Say, ‘It is Allah who saves you from it and from every distress; then you [still] associate others with Him’.”

Only two entities bear the title of the Quranic Al-Masih. Aal-e-Imran 3:45, “[And mention] when the angels said, “O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary – distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah].”

From the Hadiths is: Sahih Muslim, The Book of Faith; Book 1, Hadith 332; Narrated: ‘It is narrated on the authority of ‘Abdullah b. Umar that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “I found myself one night near the Ka’bah, and I saw a man with wheat complexion amongst the fair-complexioned men that you ever saw. He had a lock of hair the most beautiful of the locks that you ever saw. He had combed it. Water was trickling out of them. He was leaning on two men, or on the shoulders of two men, and he was circumscribing the Ka’bah. I asked, What is he? It was said: He is al-Masih son of Mary. Then I saw another person, stout and having too much curly hair, and blind in his right eye as if it was a full swollen grape. I asked Who is he? It was said: He is al-Masih al-Dajjal.”               From the Qur’an and the Hadith above, “al-Masih” and “Messiah” are the same. What I am about to reveal shows clearly that Muhammad either had no understanding of Messiah, or the God of the Bible pushed him to give Islamic acceptance to the Messianic Office of Jesus of Nazareth. Masih is not Arabic, it has its etymology in Hebraic mâshach (maw-shakh’): ‘to smear, spread a liquid; to anoint (as consecration):’ from which we have mâshı̂yach (maw-shee’-akh): ‘anointed; usually a consecrated person (as a king, priest, or saint); specifically the Messiah.’

Romans 10:11 “For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12) For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” The subject of spiritual belief is one of Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” The subject of scriptural focus in this verse is ‘Lord’. The Elizabethan couch of King James Version, in modern day English reads: “That if you professedly accept that Jesus is Lord, the Lord of salvation, and believe that God raised Him from the dead, the word of God promises without any equivocation that you will be saved.” Amen!

2Corinthians 5:19 “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.”

‘Reconciling’ is katallasso (ka-tal-las’-sō): ‘1. to change mutually. 2. (figuratively) to reconcile.’This is a change from enmity to friendship. ‘Reconciliation’ is katallage (ka-tal-la-ǰee’): ‘1. an exchange. 2. (figuratively) an adjustment, reconciliation. 3. (specially) restoration to the divine favor.’ This is a change from one’s erstwhile sinful nature to the sinlessness of the Christ. Ponderous profundity of the phenomenality is this biblical salvation brought to man by Jesus.

And all the Apostles agree in unison with 1John 4:14-15 “And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.15) Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.” Hallelujah!

Jesus the King of kings, Who is also the Saviour of the world, is necessarily the High Priest. Who is a priest? A priest stands before God to plead on behalf of another, especially, one who has missed divine mark. When many priests were ordained for the temple worship, Aaron was ordained to be the first high priest. In scriptural reality Adam was the first priest who stood sinlessly for the Adamic race. After the fall everyone was his own priest in the antediluvian age – each individual presented his sacrifice before God.

Jesus will give you rest only if you will receive His life. Get born again. Say this simple prayer:
