We make God happy when we do His will.

1)            Growing up in the sixties, I chose, a couple of times, to embark on the bus route that ran about four times the straight course to where I lived. I did not do it just for the fun of sightseeing; and when I got to the particular bus stop, he climbed into the bus I happened to be in. The very young Regional Pastor A. A. A. Alao and I saw one another and washing all over us was this effervescent smile on the faces of two bosom friends. In the same tenour, doing the will of God engenders a certain transporting spiritual affinity between the Creator and His intelligent creation.

                One hardly sees the connotative essentiality dwelling in the feat of putting smile on the Divine face of Jehovah. The consistency of your labour of love in His vineyard or otherwise does something to Him. You endear yourself to the eternality of His essence. You have, in fact, made friends with His Omniscience which aided the sagacity of Solomon. The LORD’s Omnipotence becomes your backbone. His Omnipresence takes care of everything that concerns you everywhere – all because you have made it your concern to make God happy.

Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

                Jesus told His disciples, “Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. 15) Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you” (John 15:14-15). Nothing surpasses pleasing the LORD. In pleasing Him, you get very close to the Almighty. The LORD God, besides being is not just the Almighty, He is also the only good One. Pleasing Him opens all doors of accomplishments. When the Devil gives you a gift, it comes with attachments of sorrowful eventualities. God’s immutable essence is seen in James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” When you make God happy the beneficence that comes from His immanence is the assurance of Divine immutability. Words are just too weak, failing the test of eloquence, in the description of the essence of One Who is both the Almighty and the very Person of goodness. Creationism is indeed blessed to have its Authorship in the good, Almighty Jehovah. Amen.

                Just imagine the awesomeness of Adamic affinity with the God, Who, from eternity past, to eternity to come, remains both inexterminable and indubitably good. Man’s philosophical orientation, fraught with fatality of vicissitudes will definitely fail to apprehend such a One Whose power and act of goodness cannot ever be challenged. You see, growing up, I turned so philosophical. One of the philosophical fantasies of my belief was that Lucifer must either be as powerful as the LORD God or has something with which he exercises a certain leverage to enable his incorrigible pursuit of Satanism without ceasing all these millennia. My Adamic understanding continued to wonder why God continues to put up with this untold, horrendous global corruption. It was like the Almighty cannot do anything to stop the Devil’s maniacal crave. I believed that God would not want a confrontation with Lucifer lest the evil one destroys God’s precious creation.

Do a profound study of the Bible

                How wrong I found out I was, when I began to do a profound study of the Bible. The Bible showed me the Almighty, filling all, more than a centillion times and well over! Then I saw Lucifer for whom and what he truly is. He is just an object of creationism. He never ever measured up to be an entity of worship. His disobedience had cut him off the true source of life – the LORD God. Lucifer is an anathema. There is absolutely nothing good about Satan. I found out that Lucifer is by eternality far, low in personality to the “Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” Quickly, I jettisoned my philosophical belief concerning Satan’s perceived equality with the Creator when I read Revelation Chapter 20 where the first and second verses read, “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2) And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,” which leaves no room for Lucifer’s exertion of any power when other verses are considered. 7) “And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 20:9) And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. 20:10) And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” (Revelation 20:7, 9 and 10). As terrible as notoriety of Satanism rents the entire globe, the lord and god of it, Lucifer, could not resist his arrest by only one angel like him. Should anyone think that God would be tired of the Devil’s imprisonment the tenth verse sealed his banishment. God would not even have to make any physical contact with Satan’s defeat and eventual incarceration: forever.

                Getting born again is a conscious effort on the part of an individual. Get born again. You were born in sin. Say this sinner’s prayer.

“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
