The glory of the Father, full of grace and truth

2)            ‘Full’ of John 1:14 is plērēs (play’-race): ‘filled up (as opposed to empty); covered in every part.

Of the soul, thoroughly permeated with. Lacking nothing, perfect, replete, or covered over; by analogy complete.’ What is the Word ‘full’ of? Grace and truth; where ‘grace’ is charis (khar’-ece): ‘benediction (as gratifying), of manner or act (abstract or concrete; literal, figurative or spiritual; especially the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life; including gratitude);’ and ‘truth’ is  alētheia (al-ay’-thi-a): ‘objectively, what is true in any matter under consideration, reality, verity.’ Alētheia comes from alēthēs (al-ay-thace’): ‘loving the truth, speaking the truth, truthful, not concealing.’

With the exception of God, no one has fullness of charis and alētheia. Fullness of grace points only to the Almighty God, Who abounds in beneficence: gifts of the Spirit; of all the blessings of grace, of justifying, pardoning, adopting, sanctifying, and persevering grace; of all the promises of grace; of all light, life, strength, comfort, peace, and joy: and also of truth, of all Gospel truths; and as he had the truth, the sum, and substance of all the types and substance of all the types and prophecies concerning him in him; and as he fulfilled all his own engagements, and his Father’s promises; and as possessed of sincerity towards men, and faithfulness and integrity to God (From John Gill’s Exposition On The Entire Bible). Alētheia tells anyone, who loves the truth, unequivocally that Jesus Christ is the physical reality of Jehovah God.

Mouths just mouth the name of Jesus without having proper knowledge of Who this Jesus veritably is. They have heard of Jesus, like some vagabond Jews. “Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. 14) And there were seven sons of [one] Sceva, a Jew, [and] chief of the priests, which did so. 15) And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? 16) And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded” (Acts 19:13-16). Without the spiritual connectivity of John 3:3 that receives practical ignition when one turns Romans 10:9-10 into prayer, simpatico rapport between the LORD God and anyone who calls the name of Jesus is nonexistent.

Drawing a crystal distinction between Him and the Devil He says, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” in John 10:10. It must thrive in abundance or else it is not zōē (dzo-ay’): ‘God’s eternal, kind of life.’ No angel or any other being of creation has the ability and the capability to grace any life with the abundance of zōē.

John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd

John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” Who is the God of Israel; is He not the God of the Bible, the Author of the creationism? If Jesus Christ calls Himself the Good Shepherd, what did that do to the minds of the people of Israel? It, definitely, raced their thinking faculties to Psalms 80 and 23. The supplicatory couch of Psalm 80 is, “Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.” Who is known to dwell between the cherubim? The LORD God seated on the throne in celestial assizes of the Rainbow Administration. The first verse of Davidic Psalm 23 reads, “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Now the ‘LORD’ in Hebrew is yehôvâh (yeh-ho-vaw’): ‘the proper name of the one true God; (the) self Existent or eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God.’ Have I not heard many people argue, “Jesus never called Himself God”? In John 10:11 Jesus in clearest, categorical terms called Himself the LORD God of the Bible! Selah!

In corroboration of His Divinity, Jesus raises hope of paradisaical life after earthly sojourn. He told Martha who did not understand Him well enough, 25) “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26) And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? 27) She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world” (John 11:25-27). A flabbergasted Jewish professor of Biblical Law, Nicodemus, could not believe his ears when his evening host made a revelation of Himself in John 3:12-13 12) “If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 13) And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.”

Get born again by saying this simple prayer.

“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
