THE SANCTUARY INCURSION (part one)
Ezekiel 8:16
“And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD’S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east” (Ezekiel 8:16). It was not the first time the Devil will invade God’s house. In the Garden of Eden he won over the Woman, who represented the body of Christ. Having succeeded in enlisting the support of the embodiment of worship (the Woman) Lucifer used his opportunistic stance to establish a parallel dark mode of worship. He sowed the seed of the philosophy of Satanism, preparing the evil groundwork for Satan’s deification. He waited patiently for one of the children to be initiated into the sacerdotalism of his established religion. Cain gladly embraced the demon possessed worship of the creature (rather than the Creator).
To prove the satanically established parallel worship Cain went to settle in a place called Nod (node) BDB Definition: ‘wandering’. Strong’s Definition: ‘vagrancy; Nod, the land of Cain’. The religion of Lucifer is not of rest: in the LORD God. It cannot settle the conflict and the sin question of humanity. The Bible says that, “And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the ‘east’ {qidmah (kid-maw’): ‘forward, front, east, antiquity, over against’} of Eden” [Genesis 4:16]. He became antagonistic towards God, his Creator. He did not want to walk (Genesis 5:22; 17:1) with God again, that is why he “went out from the presence of the LORD”. His lifestyle changed because the word ‘walk’, halak, in Hebrew, also means ‘lifestyle’.
Sun (Nimrod) & Moon (wife) worship
Why would he choose ‘the east of Eden’? The word ‘east’ is used the first time in connection with God, “And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed” [Genesis 2:8]. ‘Eastward’ is qedem or qedmah (keh’-dem): ‘the front, of place (absolutely the fore part, relatively the East) or time (antiquity)’. The east is where light shines from, to the earth. It reminds the earth of the true Light (Genesis 1:3; John 1:3-9). Cain was instructed to take his religion to the east to install a fake light, “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light” (2Co 11:14). When Nimrod led the ancient world a la Cain’s antagonism, he set forth sun worship. Cain never left his city (the first in Bible record) so, how could he be a vagabond? His vagrancy was a spiritual vagabondism.
‘Enoch’, the name of Cain’s first child and the city, means ‘initiation’. Every esoteric religion must insist on an initiation. An incursion into Noah’s home took away his great grandson, Nimrod, who was initiated into satanism as a ‘hunter before (in defiance of) the LORD’. Abram had to be removed by the LORD God from a pagan land of Ur. Abraham did a good work for the erection of God’s sanctuary which brought the LORD God down to it in the Book of Exodus 33:7-10. Leviticus 10:1-2, “1. And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. 2. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD”. As long as there are people who have received induction into Satan’s philosophy, called religion, his continual incursion is settled.
They would not wait patiently for the return of Moses for the simple reason that Lucifer must create an inroad into God’s people; and so we see of them in the account of Exodus 32:4, “And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt”. This incursion cost them the lives of three thousand Israelites. Unexpectedly, in 1Kings 11:1-5, “But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites; 2. Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love. 3. And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart. 4. For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father. 5. For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites”. (…to be continued…)
