Temptations Should Not Freak One Out (1)

Adam and Eve are the progenitors of antediluvian saints
1) From the day the Woman decided to gorge herself, in an inglorious satiation, on the forbidden fruit, it was clear that man should tread with sagacious care on earth. It was crystal that trouble had come to stay with Adamic intelligence when her unperceptive husband partook of the criminous act of disobedience. Lucifer, the author of Satanism, seeing the capitulation of Adam, the Lord of the earth, knew he had just won the right of tempting fallen humans at his evil will.
What mankind see are the uncomfortable grueling exaction of temptations. We get so blinded, by ignorance, to understand God’s care over our lives. Of course, God allows trials and temptations, owing to the fact that Lucifer was given every right to poke into the affairs of Adam and his progenies from the day of the original sin. It reads in 1Corinthians 10:13 “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” ‘Temptation’, from this verse is the Greek peirasmos (pi-ras-mos’): ‘a putting to proof (by experiment [of good], experience [of evil], solicitation, discipline or provocation); by implication adversity’.

Temptations must need come
The adversities we suffer are, as the Bible points it out, ‘such common to man’ which in Greek, is anthrōpinos (anth-ro’-pee-nos): ‘human; applied to things belonging to men; [man-]kind, after the manner of men.’ The Bible says of God when the first man was found guilty of sin, 17 “And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; 18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; 19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return” (Genesis 3:17-19). In every facet of existentialities of human trajectory, the enemy is waiting to worsen Adamic existence on earth.
The next word ‘faithful’, is pistos (pis-tos’): ‘worthy of trust; that can be relied on; objectively trustworthy; subjectively trustful.’ Worthy of theological note is the Scriptural “God is faithful,” which has not the “is” in the original Greek couch. ‘Is’ being in italics, if you study the Bible using King James Authorized Version, means that an italicized word is the translators’ way of bringing the verse close to English readers’ understanding. What I have come to understand, through the outstanding teachings of Reverend Chris Okotie, is that when you remove the italicized word, the reading becomes very forceful. Removing the italicized ‘is’, it reads in forceful limpidity of “God faithful”, giving the eternality of Jehovah the title: “faithful”. God’s faithfulness is graced with the ability of dunamai, the Greek word for ‘able’, pronounced (doo’-nam-ahee), and meaning: ‘to be able, have power whether by virtue of one’s own ability and resources, or of a state of mind, or through favourable circumstances, or by permission of law or custom.’ Let us look at the clausal ‘way to escape’ ekbasis (ek’-bas-is): ‘an egress, way out, exit; applied figuratively to the way of escape from temptation.’ In classical Greek ekbasis means a way out of sea.

You will not be tempted above that you are able
The reading and apprehension of 1Corinthians 10:13 should help create in mankind, whose firm belief rests on Christ, a huge level of maturity. There is, absolutely, no reason why a believer in the true word of God should get totally freaked out at the face of temptation. Temptations, whether one likes it or not; ready for it or not or expecting it or not, will definitely show up to prove your fidelity to God’s words of the Holy Spirit’s inspiration. Our daily lives’ experiences are fraught with vicissitudes. There is no need crying over the spilled milk of the Eden Fall that continues to reverberate through the minds of generational existence of the first couple’s progenies, spanning six thousand years. We can only mention the historicity of sinfulness genesis, the truth is that, our sinful contributions belittle the act of the original sin. If the world is groaning under the pangs of immorality, the level of its perpetration should not surprise anyone: for this wreak, absolute acts of diablerie, has been on for over six thousand years. Unfortunate circumstances must, therefore, need to hunt man. When it manifests, the Bible says, “They are experiences very common to man.”

Getting born again is a conscious effort on the part of an individual. Get born again. Say this sinner’s prayer.
“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
