EASTER SUNDAY (2nd part)

                                           victory  victory

Note that in Genesis 1:3-5 all God did was to set His divine foot on terra firma in order to establish His ownership (Psalm 24) so that in all things He is number one as attests to in Colossians 1:18, where ‘preeminence’, in the Greek, is prōteuō (prote-yoo’-o): ‘to be first (in rank or influence).’ Every Sabbath (that is Saturday – being the last day of the week) reassures them in the old testamentary order that they had a rest. Sin polluted the rest. When Jesus chose to resurrect on the first day of the week, did He not decide to begin all over again from the day He started it all (Day One)? In Day One of Genesis 1:3, there was none but Him standing on the terra firma. None helped Him to shine the Light of the truth. None could say, “I was there with Him to share the glory of creationism.” Now that He had to revert to that first day of the week, He is in complete control of true worship. The first day of the week came to be known as the Lord’s Day.

Return_Christ

Revelation 1:10, “I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet.’ This Lord’s Day is in 1Corinthians 16:2 (which happened to be a Church service day), “Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.” Act 20:7 (is more explicit), “And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.” The breaking of bread is of ‘Easter’ or the Passover, because the taking of the communion did replace the Passover which was eaten first eaten in Egypt. John 20:19, “Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.” This verse takes us back to Genesis 3 when He used to pay them a visit in the secluded area of the Garden of Eden. After the sin the first psychological problem was that of fear coated with insecurity. After His resurrection the fear of insecurity restricted them to one room. How they longed to hear His protective words of endearment: “Peace be unto you”.

There is a marked difference between the Sunday of our (Christian) worship and that of the literal ‘Sunday’ of the sun deities such as: Amaterasu, the sun goddess of Japan, sun god Re of Egypt, Mithra of Persia, Inca of Peru, Helios (Greece); Sol (Rome); Surya, Savitr, and Mithra (India); Utu (Sumer); and Shamash (Babylonian and other Semitic areas). Their sun god is the transient Satan; a thief, liar and a cunning dupe. Our Messiah (of Christians) is the Eternal One. He said, “I [am] he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death (Rev 1:18) confer chapter 3:7. He comes from eternity, saves us and takes our salvation into the realm of eternity for eternal safe keeping of our dear souls. Amen.

If you will like to be part of the Kingdom of Jesus, you must be born again. It is very simple to get born again. Pray this prayer from Romans 10:9-10. Pray as if this is your last with all your heart. Ready? DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER, I COME TO YOU NOW IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST. I BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD. I BELIEVE THAT JESUS DIED FOR MY SIN. I BELIEVE THAT YOU RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD. I CONFESS WITH MY MOUTH THAT JESUS IS LORD AND I RECEIVE HIM NOW AS MY LORD AND MY SAVOIUR. I GIVE GOD ALL THE GLORY. AMEN.
