MUHAMMAD DENIES THE DIVINITY OF JESUS (7)

The Bible says angels are “sons of God in heaven” (Job 1:6)

(…continues from part six…)

7)            Job 1:6 “Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.”  What did the Devil say to Jesus in the temptation of the wilderness? “And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread” (Matthew 4:3). “He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:” were the words of angel Gabriel concerning the Person of Jesus in Luke 1:32. This is the Scriptural genealogical trace of the first created man: “Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God” (Luke 3:38). Just like the angels, Adam was created directly by God’s craftsmanship, hence, son of God.

Mohammad lacks theological knowledge as it is encapsulated in the Bible. Jesus is the only begotten Son of God attested to in John 1:14 and 3:16; ‘only begotten’ is monogenes (mo-no-ǰe-nees’): ‘only-born (i.e. sole).’ This special ‘birth’ is not of biological parturition; this ‘only begotten’ character of Jesus underscores His essence. Jesus is the consummate representation of the Eternal Father: the visibility of the inconspicuous Father, ever-seated on the throne of the Rainbow Administration.

“Without Him was not anything made that was made.” Who? Jesus Christ.

Who is Jesus Christ? He is the Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, everlasting Father, Prince of peace (Isaiah 9:6). Jesus is the Word of God, without Whom was not anything was made that was made (John chapter one). Jesus is the One: “In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:3); “set down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2); the Saviour of the world (John 4:42); the Divine Shepherd (Ps 23 & 80); Lord from heaven (John 3:13 & 1Corinthians 15:47); “who is before all things, and by him all things consist” (Colossians 1:17); of Revelation 1:8, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”

The question Muhammad should answer is this; will God destroy the Entity that is His Word, power, Counsellor, the Creator, all – without exception – treasures of His wisdom, the One seated on His right hand even the Almighty? Jesus Christ has no beginning and no end which explains His eternality, Whose goings forth has been from of old, from everlasting. Muhammad is oblivious of His status as the Second Member of the Trinity; why would God kill His express image (Hebrews 1:3)? Did Muhammad understand John 10:30 which asseverates, “I and my father are one” and that the word ‘one’ is heis (heis’): a neuter gender defined as ‘essence’. Will God destroy His divine essence as Muhammad is quoted in Al-Ma’idah, 5th chapter of Qur’an verse 17? Muhammad, you have no idea who Jesus is, no, you do not, not at all! Biblical incontestability of Scriptural documentations make Jesus of very God, the very God! Will God kill Himself? Selah!

“…the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb,” (Revelation 5:8)

Al-Ma’idah 5:116 And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, “O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, ‘Take me and my mother as deities besides Allah?’” He will say, “Exalted are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen.

Let us do a juxtaposition of this verse and some verses of the Bible. Isaiah 40:3 “The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.” John the Baptist quoted this verse in consummation of its fulfilment. Was the Baptizer the heraldic prophet preparing the straightness of the way of the Messiah? If so, as the Scripture documents, then the mentioned LORD is the Messiah. 2Peter 1:1 “Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:” is a verse that proves me right in my unequivocal “Jesus is very God of very God” delineation. Titus 2:13-14 “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14) Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” I know that some religious beliefs must hate to see the biblical Deity of Jesus. If Muhammad of Islam must deny the divinity of Jesus, let him use the Islamic Qur’an, and never the Bible, the Word of God, the Scriptures of Christianity, which encourages believers to be “Looking for…the appearing of the great God and Saviour,” that is Jesus Christ.

Psalm 102:24-27 “I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations. 25) Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands. 26) They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: 27) But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.” Pauline exegetical couch quotes this Psalm 102 in Hebrews 1:10-12. Genesis 2:3 “And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.” Ephesians 3:21 “Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” The above Scriptures shed lights of the Christ’s Lordship, His equality with God the Father and His eternality. Place these verses side by side Al-Ma’idah verse 116: does it not prove that the Qur’an is a misleading book of Bible’s vilification?

But I need to shed Scriptural light on what Al-Maida verse 116 prophesied towards the end of the verse: “You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself.” Is Jesus the Personification of the Word of God? Who, if not the Logos, is expected to know the Divinity? Muhammadan problem comes from lack of the knowledge of the Christ who declares, “As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep” (John 10:15). ‘Knoweth’ and ‘know’ are one and the same Greek ginōskō (ghin-oce’-ko): ‘to ‘know’ (absolutely), in a great variety of applications and with many implications.’ Leaving no doubt in our minds, when ginōskō is careful considered, Jesus categorically states, “I know all that the Father knows, just as He knows all that I know.” The clearest asseveration is couched in John 10:30 “I and my Father are one:” where the last word, ‘one’ is a neuter gender, meaning: ‘essence’.

If the Father is the Omniscient, Omnipotent and the Omnipresent, the eternality of the Son, whose goings forth has been from everlasting, has the absolute essence of Omnipotence, Omniscience and Omnipresence. That is the exegetical understanding of John 10:30. It says unequivocally in Colossians 2:2-3 2) “…to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 3) In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Not one, three, one hundred, a million or even a billion, it states categorically, “In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” If says, “All” then Christ knows the eternality of God the Father without any exception. This is the position of the Word of God, the Bible.

Getting born again is a conscious effort on the part of an individual. Get born again. You were born in sin. Say this sinner’s prayer.

“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
