SCRIPTURAL SMALL-MINDEDNESS (2)
Pope Francis (wearing the crown of Jesus?)
(…continues from part 1…)
2) Is the Pope not setting himself up as the LORD God? Centuries prior to Papal Infallibility, the Council of Trent, held in the year 1545, declared that Tradition is of equal authority with the Bible. By Tradition is meant human teachings. The Pharisees believed the same way, and Jesus condemned them, for by human tradition they nullified the commandments of God. This, Jesus told them in Mark 7:7-8 “Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 8) For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.” Apostle Paul warned us in the writing of Colossians 2:8 “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” They are not even afraid not to fall short of Revelation 22:18, “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:” the warning of our LORD God, through John. As various congregations tore themselves from the umbilical cord of the Catholic Church, they forgot to rid themselves entirely of certain beliefs, ergo, for centuries what had continued to be taught seemed like the truth owing to the fact that when you continue to repeat a falsehood into your system, it eventually becomes an unconscionably irrevocable fact.
Pastor Adeboye holding the offending staff at RCCG Holy Ghost Night, ordered, “Focus on it!”
Now let us look at the things Pastor Adeboye, the G.O. of The RCCG, worldwide, did that caught my scriptural attention. In one of the Holy Ghost Night which every RCCG members desire to attend, the G.O. held up a staff and told the millions of the congregants, “I am not going to lift it up for more than two minutes; focus on it; and pray your prayer thus: you are going to say, ‘Father, let your wind blow on me tonight.’” First he held up a wand-like staff; secondly, his bucolic instruction to the largest congregation is, “Focus on it,” when the famous Pastor Adeboye should know in unequivocal terms the Scriptural exhortation of Hebrews 12:2, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Ranking the staff of his pastoral hand of equal status as Jesus renders that Holy Ghost Night an idolatrous exercise. ‘Author’, of the above verse, is archegos (ar-chee-ğos’): ‘a chief leader.’ The other word ‘finisher’ is teleiotes (te-lei-ō-tees’): ‘a completer, i.e. consummater.’ Jesus is not just the Chief Leader of our faith, He is the Consummating Factor of it! Scriptural explicitness tells us that without faith no one pleases God.
At another time Pastor Adeboye held a meeting with his pastors where he taught, “If you don’t pay your tithes you will go to hell,” premising it on Malachi 3:8 “Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.” According to the G.O., “How can you rob the Almighty and not be guilty of hellish abode?” in fact he went as far as explaining to his pastors that if they fail to pay their own tithes, their robbery acts can send their congregants to hell and without mincing words, The General Overseer of RCCG told the convergent pastors that the tithing offenders can make the pastors lose heaven – for which I, H.O. Ojewale, shook my head in total disbelief. Adeboye gave a stern warning, “I am not ready to go to hell because of anyone of you (his pastors).”
When Ban Ki-Moon was the UN Secretary-General, E.A. Adeboye, leading some others, paid him a visit in his UN office. There is certainly nothing wrong with paying the UN highest ranking officer a visit. The problem is why a true man of God will go to the UN Secretary-General to discuss, not the salvation of man, but world peace; knowing fully well that the UN Headquarters also houses Lucis Trust of deep Satanism. What transpired a couple of years later at Pastor Adeboye’s 77th birthday celebration, held in London, proved that I am not an alarmist.
When the master of the ceremony called him out as the celebrant, Pastor Adeboye made some disturbing revelations. He said, “God is beginning to reveal to me what He wants me to do. What I have done so far is a scratch compared to what the Lord has directed me to do.” Going on, “He wants me to try hard and build so many churches so that there will be a church every five minutes’ walk from every home. God wants me to try hard and make sure that in every family of the whole world at least one person is a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.” Then the G.O. dropped the big revelation, “God wants me to bring together people of all faiths – and that’s why you can see them today on my birthday – to take over the politics of the earth and bring peace to the world!”
Getting born again is a conscious effort on the part of an individual. Get born again. Say this sinner’s prayer.
“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
