“Ye shall observe…LORD your God hath commanded…not turn to the right hand or the left”

1)            All it takes is just one seemingly inconsequential stray from the revealed word of God and you have become an avowed enemy of the LORD God of the Bible. Why would it be contained in the Mosaic Divine led Deuteronomy 5:32 “Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left”? It is simply because you cannot move a hundredth of a millimeter away from God’s corpus of revelation. The clausal, ‘turn aside’ is sûr (soor): ‘to turn off (literal or figurative); call back, decline, depart, eschew, get (you), go (aside), [idiom] grievous, lay away (by), leave undone, be past, pluck away, put (away, down), rebel, remove (to and fro), revolt, [idiom] be sour, take (away, off), turn (aside, away, in), withdraw, be without.’ It is the most dangerous efforts of intelligent beings: going against the express scriptural didacticism.

What did Lucifer do to fall away and consequently lost his empyrean estate? He went against divine establishment of Hebrews 1:14 “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” None of the angelic beings of the creationism received the eternal Godhood of “Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool” of the preceding Hebrews 1:13. Lucifer sought to promote himself to the status of a member of the council of the Godhead, in conspicuous flagrancy that tended to make nonsense of the Creator’s decision in creating him a serving angel and not a member of the Godhead. This stray turned Lucifer into the Devil. It is quite easy to become God’s antagonistic evil of Satanism.

You become Satan’s slave when you veer off God’s word.

The minute you veer yourself off God’s scriptural tandem, something happens: the author of Satanism, who has actually devised and wished for you to follow him, will begin to open other books to feed your new vagrant estate. Why do philosophers continue to struggle with life without Jesus? They think they are too wise to be spiritually driven by the Word of God. We should be very careful about what we imbibe into our spiritual system. You cannot think outside the box, as far as the Holy Bible is concerned. Someone dared to embrace the inimical invitation of Lucifer’s teaching, forgetting that Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. That someone is a North African Sabellius of Libya, born in the early third century AD, decided, on account of his satanic indoctrination, to float an egregious anomaly known as Sabellianism, also known as modalistic monarchianism.

A Sabellian modalist would say that an ipseity of One God successively revealed Himself to man throughout time as the Father in Creation; the Son in Redemption; and the Spirit in Sanctification and Regeneration. Sabellius was not comfortable with the idea that the Trinitarian concept can easily lead an unsuspecting Christian into the heresy of tritheism, a type of polytheism that believes in three gods. There is no portion of the Bible that children cannot read. You cannot be frightened by what any part of the Bible reveals; you are expected to just teach it as it is, not venturing to the left or the right of God’s revelation. We are never to worry ourselves what a particular verse expresses; teach it and let the Holy Spirit take care of the rest.

Sabellian “three powers” of the sun.

According to Epiphanius of Salamis, Sabellius used the sun’s characteristics as an analogy of God’s nature. Just as the sun has “three powers” (warmth, light, and circular form), so God has three aspects: the warming power answers to the Holy Spirit; the illuminating power, to the Son; and the form or figure, to the Father. Sabellius used the term “prosopa” which is Greek for “faces” to describe how the person of God has three faces, this idea is found in 2Corinthians 4:6 “…God’s glory displayed in the face (prosopon – singular form of prosopa) of Christ.” Prosōpon (pros’-o-pon), the Pauline couch of employment, which translates ‘face’ in English means: (the visage); the front (as being towards view), that is, the countenance, aspect, appearance, surface; by implication presence, person.’ Prosōpon does not support ‘Divine Faces’ of Sabellianism. The Greek Prosōpon, of 2Corinthians 4:6, points to the distinctive ipseity of the Person of Jesus. I have heard people use water to teach God’s triune nature, but when you see the Godhead as the fluidity in a glass; its vapourization when heated; and its solidity as ice: all of which is the same measure of water in the glass, you inadvertently give the Sabellian modalist thumbs up. Agreeing with the sun and water analogies hails the authentication of the apocryphal Manichaeism which also provides the masquerades for the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.

Getting born again is a conscious effort on the part of an individual. Get born again. You were born in sin. Say this sinner’s prayer.

“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
