Didactic Incongruity With The Scripture (IX)

The Lion of the tribe of Judah (Revelation 5:5)

9) Proverbs 10:22 “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” Damina, unfortunately, had to mention names of prominent rich people who have nothing to do with the Church of the Living God, to prove that the Church cannot make anybody rich. Definitely, Dr. Damina did not acquire his riches through the blessing of the Author of the Church. You know what Damina said, “If you want to make money, go outside the Church.” Unbelievable, you must agree. Damina said that Solomon did not have to ask God for money because kings are always rich, especially, with David as his father. If Solomon had depended on the treasure left by David, for the building of the Jerusalem Temple, it would not have been Solomonic grand. This is what the Bible says, 11) “And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment; 12) Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee. 13) And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days” (1Kings 3:11-13).

Lacking nothing, were naked but not ashamed.
1Timothy 3:15 “But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.” This word ‘truth’ is alētheia (al-ay’-thi-a): ‘objectively, what is true in any matter under consideration, reality.’ This reality has the definitional connectivity with Jesus Christ as the reality of Godhood. Now we come to ‘pillar’, which is stulos (stoo’-los): ‘a post (style), that is, (figuratively) support;’ while ‘ground’ is hedraiōma (hed-rah’-yo-mah): ‘a stay, prop, support i.e. figuratively, basis.’ The Church, God’s house, is both the post that holds up the Truth of salvation, and the base on which rests firmly the Truth – Jesus Christ.

“If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it,” says Jesus, the Head of the Church.
Does Jesus promise John 14:14, “If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it”? Why should we go to Church, ask Jesus of riches, and it will amount to theological faux pas? The Church is one stop shop for all needs of Adamic creatures; with faith that is solely based on the revealed word of God. Why did Solomon make his way to Gibeon to offer a thousand burnt offerings? Sacrificial worship to the LORD God was most frequent at Gibeon, a priest-city, given by the tribe of Benjamin. By the description, “the great high place,” of 1Kings 3:4 is an inference to a place where Israel met with God in consummation of sacrificial worship. What am I proving here?
This great Solomonic oblationary act took place where the worship of the Israeli Jehovah attracted an assemblage. Of what difference is it from the Church? If Solomon got financially blessed as a result of what he did before God, how can any right thinking person say, “The Bible is a poor material for money making”? Is the Bible not the express Word of God? Is it not the express Word of God that blessed riches untold into the hands of Solomon? King Solomon was still in Gibeon when God appeared to him. Solomon never left the place of worship – the Church – when he was blessed. The Author of the Church blessed Solomon with, unarguably, the greatest riches ever acquired by an individual and that was perfected in the Church. Dr. Damina chooses to read, interpret and teach things quite alien to the Bible, which is the protocol of the Church. Apostle Paul concludes, “But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God” (1Corinthians 11:16). Case is closed.

Keep away from false teachers
Getting born again is a conscious effort on the part of an individual. Get born again. You were born in sin. Say this sinner’s prayer.
“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
