Didactic Incongruity With The Scripture (XI)

“I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed” (Galatians 2:11).

11) One tragic thing is that many of our churches are, unfortunately, still tied to Catholicism. Speaking of “Infallibility of the Pope,” Catholicism is wallowing in scriptural puerility not to remember that even a key master builder of the nascent Church, was found wanting in Galatians 2:11-14 “But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. 12) For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision. 13) And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation. 14) But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?” Apostle Peter was not infallible as this incident shows; so, how can the Pope of Catholicism ascribe infallibility to the carnality of his existence and his ipseity? The same Roman Catholic Church added an unscriptural prayer for the dead, ostensibly, to create avenue of wealth for the Catholic Church. Now let us discuss this unscriptural prayer I hear even from many pastors.
What scriptural wisdom lies in “May his soul rest in peace” when one comes to the understanding of Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” which the Pope together with Catholicism is too impervious to acknowledge. Revelation 20:12-15 has in the 15th verse, “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” The sheer vulgarism of any prayer for the dead is aptly couched in the express Word of Jesus: “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:18). Roman Catholic Church also embarked on the promulgation of 1190 A.D. It is: “The sale of indulgences, commonly regarded as a purchase of forgiveness and a permit to indulge in sin. It can also be purchased on behalf of a dead loved one.” Roman Catholic Church cannot be trusted.

I have always found it so unbelievable listening to professed Christians solemnly petitioning, “May his soul rest in peace,” in prayer to God when someone dies. Honestly, you cannot be a knowledgeable person of Christianity to offer such scriptural anomaly. Do these Church going people know the origin of this rampant gaucherie? In the year 310, well over a thousand ago, the Roman Catholic Church institutionalised: “Prayers for the dead and the sign of the cross.” How could it take centuries to unearth this unleashing on the Christianity? The reason is simple. Catholicism stands not on the pillar and ground of the Truth – Jesus Christ. Catholicism believes, and very strongly too, of Papal Infallibility (instituted in 1870). It is amazing that my Christian brethren fail to understand Isaiah 38:18 “For the grave cannot praise thee, death can [not] celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.” Check out my post on R.I.P. click on http://wp.me/p5iz2f-n via @hoojewale
Paul taught in Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” proving that there is absolutely nothing anyone can do to undo the hell damnation occupation. What did Abraham tell the rich man who found himself in the land of the wicked dead? He thought he could outsmart God’s judgment with: “And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent” (Luke 16:30). Abraham’s simple, divine answer was: “And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead” (Luke 16:31). Getting born again before one dies is the only solution that takes one not to hell, after death. Getting born again enables the Christian to speak directly to God with new tongues.

They were drunken, not with wine, but the Holy Spirit.
It sounds bizarre anytime I ask born again Christians, especially, those who have believed for years, if they speak in tongues and I wonder, “Why not,” they are quick with the answer, “Speaking in tongues is a gift and not every Christian receives it from God.” Another thing is that some of those who do manifest speaking in tongues do not want to display the gift in public. That is what they have been taught in their Churches, unfortunately.
Speaking in tongues is the evidence of the new birth in Christ Jesus. If you are God’s child, should you not have a language just for the two of you? 1Corinthians 14:2 “For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.” I think this is probably the reason why some churches would rather teach the members to hush the ability to speak with new tongues. This is definitely not what Paul is teaching here. He is only looking at the greater good: which is in the edification of the Church rather than the individual. It is better when your utterance in new tongues benefits the body of Christ. An unmistakable ponderosity of truth about speaking in tongues is that you are, under the direction of the Holy Spirit, in mysterious discourse with God, seated on His empyrean throne!

Getting born again is a conscious effort on the part of an individual. Get born again. You were born in sin. Say this sinner’s prayer.
“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
