REJECT THE WORDS OF JESUS TO YOUR OWN PERIL (9)

“…wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger” (Luke 2:12)
(…continues from part eight…)
9) The fulfillment of the emergence of the overcoming Saviour is witnessed in the Gospels: 12) “And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13) And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14) Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men” (Luke 2:12-14). The Saviour made the asseveration, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). The same Lord reveals in John 10:10-11 10) “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11) I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”

Pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night: JESUS CHRIST
The Incarnational reality is found in John 1:14, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” This Divine Personality became a man. Hebrews 2:9-10 “But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. 10) For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.” His humanity and Divinity are here expressed. Jesus is the human personality that covered the eternality of Divinity which was made less in status of angels. He that seemed inconsequential in His earthly existence is the One through Whom all things came into being: the Author of creationism. These are some of the things we need to hear, understand and imbibe into our system so that no one will say, “I never knew this fact concerning Jesus Christ, the King of kings, Lord of lords, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty Saviour of the world. Amen.”
In an unprecedented fashion God freed Israel from Egyptian bondage because He was about to start what He promised Abraham in the covenant He made with him. They were so special that He personally shepherded them in a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. Through Israel a new species of mankind would emerge. But before Israel entered the Promised Land, God did what He had never done with any nation: Jehovah descended from heaven to the Sinai Mountain and spoke audibly to the children of Israel in Exodus 20:1-2 1) “And God spake all these words, saying, 2) I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.” The LORD God gave them what everybody needs to walk righteously with Him: The Ten Commandments.

The Ten Commandments
The Giver of the Ten Commandments is no doubt the One Who followed them in the pillar of cloud and pillar of fire. How do I know this? The Bible has the answer in 1Corinthians 10:1-4 1) “Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2) And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3) And did all eat the same spiritual meat;” 4) And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.” Is there any difference between the Rock that followed them and the psalmodic Personage of “he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep” of Psalm 121:4? Verse five of 1Corinthians chapter ten documents the resultant effect of the children of Israel who disobeyed the Word of God; it reads, “But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.” They rejected the Word of God to their own peril: probably, more than a million of them died in the wilderness.

Get Jesus initiated by getting born again: pray this prayer, believing it with all your heart. Say,
“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
