I Will Build My Church (Three)
Jesus suffered to redeem us from sinfulness
(…continues from part TWO…)
3) I am sure of what Pastor Kumuyi will ask me should I say that Jesus also sported beards, as a man. It will not surprise me if he should look at me and ask, “How can you depend on the artistic impression of Jesus Christ to believe and make inference to beards coverings His cheeks?” and anyone who agrees with Pastor Kumuyi in this regard knows not the Bible. Prophet Isaiah expressly gave the description of beards covered cheeks of the expected Messiah in the vaticination of Isaiah 50:6 “I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.” Is this not a Messianic prophecy?
Who is this that Prophet Isaiah prophesy of, whose entire body received merciless whipping; on whose face Roman soldiers will throw disgusting spittle; and whose hair of His chin will be atrociously plucked? Strands of hairs that grow around the chin, are they not beards? Jesus, the Messiah grew beards. If it is wrong to grow beards then will it not be right to say that Jesus Christ committed the sin of keeping idolatrous beards? If Satan found nothing evil in Jesus, and the Bible makes us understand that He knew no sin, then it is okay to keep beards like Jesus Christ did – if one so desires. Selah!
General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church: W.F. Kumuyi
I know that the reason Pastor Kumuyi teaches seriously on things like this is to pound holiness living in Christianity. Honestly, it is astounding that the General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church majors on holiness and righteousness as if that is the only thing the born again Christian needs. When Jesus made the affirmation, “I will build my Church,” there is an addendum to that asseveration, “and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it;” making it known to all and sundry that the Church He will build will be divinely protected by Him of Whom all things consist. The Church is made up of saved souls of Christianity. Colossians 1:17 “And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” This word ‘consist’ is the Greek sunistaō (soon-is-tah’-o): ‘to place together, to set in the same place, to bring or band together to put together, organise; to exhibit; intransitively to stand near, or (figuratively) to constitute.’ The Church business is essentially God’s business.
Pastor Kumuyi, like so many born again Christians, believes that one can lose one’s salvific nature of Divine elevation of the Adamic regeneration. If Jesus Christ is our life, and we know that Jesus cannot lose His Divinity how can we, whose righteousness is Christ’s, lose our salvation which comes with the total package of righteousness, justification and eternality of divine zōē? In the beginning of Adamic fashioning, the Man of Eden was the lord of the earth. Who taught Adam what to do, was it not God? To very large extent, Adam was very intelligent. But having misused his free moral agency, he fell. With the sole aim to commandeer Adam’s lordship of the earth, the evil entity did his serpentine creep and pad in the Garden of Eden. Adam lost it! The gifts and the call of the Almighty are without repentance. Has the Word of God not made the asseveration of “The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men”?
This is THE VILLA – Household of God Church. The Church is God’s biggest deal.
If justice, according to Romans 11:29 must prevail, then it is expedient that the hijacker of spiritual status in regards of Psalm 115:16 be reversed. The spiritual gladiator must be a man, ergo, the Second Man, Who is also the Lord from heaven, Who also happens to be the Author of creationism, must come through the Incarnation. “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out” (Romans 11:33)! The Creator took the headship of the earth from Lucifer’s grip, this time so that another Adamic error will not visit mankind again. God puts the regeneration of the redeemed firmly in His divine hands. How is this true? The Bible makes this clear in John 10:27-28 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28) And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” How clearer can the facticity of the soteriological “once saved always saved” be, considering “they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand”?
There, most certainly, is an unimpeded divine security of salvation. Who can help me reach out to Pastor Kumuyi that the life of Christianity dwells no more in the free moral agency of individual child of the Most High? It has moved into the custody of the Godhead. The Father instituted the call; Jesus covers every Christian in His righteousness, while the Holy Spirit takes eternal abode in the spirit realm of every child of God. This is how serious God treats the soteriology. Three times divinely insured is the zōē the born again Christian exists in. God is the Insurer; He has settled every financial commitment of the insurance; what can go wrong if the LORD God is the faithful One? Nothing! The Church is God’s biggest deal. Will any father allow anything evil happen to any of his one thousand children, especially if that Father has the triune essentiality of Omnipotence, Omniscience and an incredibility of Omnipresence? “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!” These pastors do not understand that if anything should terminate the true salvation of man, Jehovah’s credibility is called to question! Not that it will amount judging God, but, “Why go into a business You cannot successfully consummate?” that will be on the lips of intelligent beings against the LORD God.
You can put on the righteousness of Jesus by getting born again. Say this simple prayer, meaning it from your heart:
“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
