THE COMFORTER (two)
On the Day of Pentecost
(…continues from part 1…)
2) 1Corinthians 12:11 “But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.” The word ‘severally,’ idios (id’-ee-os) in Greek, means: ‘pertaining to self, that is, one’s own; by implication private or separate;’ and the last word ‘will’ is boulomai (boo’-lom-ahee): ‘to will deliberately, have a purpose, be minded.’ A robot or an inanimate thing does not exercise a personal will. The Person of the Holy Spirit comes and deals individually with Christians, exercising His sovereignty as God. He gives gifts to each one according to his or her spiritual capacity for the promotion and the welfare of the Church. Only an intelligent being can perfect these activities. The Third Member of the Godhead is at ecclesiastical work as the LORD God.
Taking a closer examination of “another Comforter” of John 14:16, we know who the Comforter is; but what does ‘another’ connote? If the Greek for ‘another’ is allos (al’-los) meaning: ‘one besides,’ would a salient question not ask, does the presented scriptural contextualization not tell us that the coming of ‘another’ validates an extant Comforter presently shepherding the disciples? For there to be another implies that one is evidently known before the coming entity of another.
The extant Comforter, whose physical presence was with the apostles in John 14:16-17 is none other than the Personage of John 14:18 “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” How possible will Jesus, who would have been seated in the heavenly assizes, be able to come to them? The three Persons in the Godhead are intrinsically one. Is the Holy Spirit not the Spirit of the eternality of both the Father and Son? Romans 8:9 reads “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” Of the Holy Spirit it says in Galatians 4:6 “And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.”
Prophet Muhammad on his mission of Jihadism: thinks he is greater than Jesus Christ.
In a malicious attempt to bring Muhammad into the glorious light of the Bible, for religious recognition, they twist the Islamism of the Qur’an and teach that Jesus told His disciples to expect another prophet, using John 14:16 as biblical validity of Muhammadan emergence as the prophet, in fact, according to Muhammad, the only prophet after Jesus Christ. When someone decides to employ lies in propagation of whatever cause, I feel very happy; knowing fully well that telling lies only gets one backed for just a little while owing to the transiency of falsehood. Does it not say, “…the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things,?” which makes me begin to wonder if Muhammad got his endowment of omniscience by Allah: for it takes the faculty of all knowing to achieve the teaching of all divine things. It also reads, “…and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
Check the Holy Spirit’s led Pauline, Peterine, Johannine and the writings of James: they are truly in remembrance of all Jesus taught. Muhammad, did you for a second in your prophethood, teach John 3 verses 3 and 16? You could not teach the soteriological concept of born again, the simple reason being that you were never born again. Only the born again souls are commissioned to evangelize the words of Jesus Christ. Which of the longest Sermon on the Mount did you remember to teach your Moslem brethren? Jesus calls Himself the Son of God. What did the prophet of Allah, Muhammad, reiterate? At-Taubah 9:30 “The Jews say, “Ezra is the son of Allah”; and the Christians say, “The Messiah is the son of Allah.” That is their statement from their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before [them]. May Allah destroy them; how are they deluded?”
“…even so the Son quickeneth whom he will” (John 5:21)
The name of Ezra, the priest has its couch twenty-two times; and not for once did anyone called him “the son of Allah”. No biblical documentation say that “Jesus is the son of Allah”? Do Christians have to say, “Jesus is the Son of God,” without any Scriptural bases? The microcosm of the entire Bible, John 3:16 reads, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” These are exact words from the lips of the Christ, of Himself, regarding the soteriology. Did Jesus ever make any mention of His Divine Sonship? Let the Bible be our unquestionable browser.
John 5:21-23 “For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will. 22) For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: 23) That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.” It says in John 14:9, “…he that seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayeth thou then, Shew us the Father?” John 5:18 “Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.” In the thirtieth verse of John chapter 10, the Jews were livid with His utterance, “I and my Father are one.” Their remark to His query is in John 10:33 “The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.”
Getting born again is a conscious effort on the part of an individual. Get born again. Say this sinner’s prayer.
“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
