Covenant Between God And Man (three)
The New Covenant involved the building of the Church: on the ROCK of Ages
(…continues from part 2…)
3) Isaiah 49:8 “Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;” and I want to believe that there is this probability that Isaiah 42:6 and this 49:8 make it look like the berı̂yth found in each of them seems to conjure an understanding that the covenant is between God and the Christ. Indubitable is the facticity that the Godhead did sit to determine soteriological actuality for Adam, before he is eventually created. It had been agreed between the Father and the Son, not without the acquiescent nod of the Holy Spirit, however. This is why the Church is God’s most phenomenal business venture.
Divine security has been established for her – the Bride of Christ. Is the Adamic being not in free moral agency existence? He must be given the opportunity of choice. So, God, no doubt, did ask Adam to be made to fall asleep for Divine surgical operation of taking a rib: a rib to build His Church. It must be the rib by his side for two reasons. The rib looks like the rainbow which stands as the object of the covenant – between God and Noah – of not destroying the world with water again (Genesis 9:13). It must be the rib: for Israel, of which there is no other nation closer to God, is ‘a prince by the side of Jehovah.’ “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out” (Romans 11:33)! There is a third reason from the Bible perception: Christians that will come from Adam will be God’s Bride.
Man, a free moral agent, must be taken into consideration, except you do not understand that free moral agency went into his creation. God, being the Gentleman of eternality, must acknowledge His own terms of creationism. On account of Noah’s free moral agency God did approach him, “Build an ark: for I must preserve you: my expensive treasure.” I wonder where Dr. Abel Damina plucked his idea that, “God never told Noah to build an ark!” To prove that the ark was God’s idea, the Bible records the architectural specifications in Genesis 6:14-18 14) “Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. 15) And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. 16) A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it. 17) And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die. 18) But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee.”
Looking at Dr Damina going through eisegetical faux pas, what I see dancing on his mug most times is maniacal enjoyment. Abel Damina looks so glad spreading biblical didacticism à la esotericism. A lot of the people who blatantly engage in eisegetical teachings of Scripture are those who have sworn to remain in arcaneness of Satanism.
The first animal sacrifice was the covenant of salvation
The Church is truly God’s business. Verse 18 quotes God saying to Noah, “But with thee will I establish my covenant.” God chooses one man of integrity to establish covenant; one to hold responsible for failure. Was it not the Woman who first tasted of the forbidden fruit? Who did God hold responsible for the original sin? Adam. He is the one in whose hand the Church is given as the priest, pastor and head. The covenant is soteriological and if salvific intent of Divinity has everything to do with the Adam, the recipient of salvation, it must culminate in the Incarnation of God as man, ergo, it is necessary to enter into covenant with Abraham – the father of Israel through whom the Saviour will emanate. Yes, it was determined by the council of the Godhead, but the end result applies to man, made in the image and likeness of his Creator, from whom an assent is required.
Zechariah 9:11 “As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.” Berı̂yth is the Hebrew for ‘covenant’. We see the first blood – from Adam’s rib – actually dropping on ground, waiting to stand in agreement with that of sinless Jesus, the Second Adam, from the Calvary event. We also see the blood of covenant pouring forth and sprinkled on the people of the covenant in Exodus 24:8. Jesus did not say, “I am come that ye might have life and life more abundantly,” for nothing. These words are words of the soteriology. They have the involvement of man’s acceptability. The seventy disciples left because they were too Israelitic to partake in what the LORD God has made holy. At the appointed time of the finality of the covenant only twelve of them sat to have the covenant of salvation with Him: which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty Jesus Christ. Who are the ‘prisoners’ mentioned in this verse? Through this covenant many people who are wallowing in sin and who desire to be born again will, by the reason of this covenant God entered with man, receive eternality of forgiveness of sin and their sinful nature will be replaced with the righteousness of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, the Saviour. Amen.
Get born again by saying this simple prayer.
“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
