Didactic Incongruity With The Scripture (XII)

All of the 120 in the Upper Room spoke with new tongues, on Pentecost Day.

12) Any born again Christian who does not exercise faith to receive this divine gift misses out in this rapturous elevation. Most definitely, things will be revealed to you; things most fail to see concerning the facticity of Scripture. Is it not a thing of pride that you are having a phone conversation with the most powerful head of government? How lowly the pride goes when the conversation is with the Most High Jehovah, the Creator Himself? 1Corinthians 14:5 “I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.” It is a good thing to be endowed with the evidence of speaking in tongues. That a greater good lies in being able to interpret your conversation with God – to the body of Christ – does not, in any way, make the exercise inconsequential. 1Corinthians 12:4, “Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.” Only God, the Holy Spirit, gives this gift, ergo, it cannot be faked. Anyone who tries to fake it is dangerously mocking God.
1Corinthians 12:7 “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.” Speaking in tongues is a proof of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. It is not an ignition of risibility owing to the prattlement of the glōssa (gloce-sah’), the Greek word for ‘tongues’. Speaking in tongues is a serious business with the Creator, Who desires to share His Kingdom mysteries with His children of adoption. 1Corinthians 12:10 “To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:” and all of these come from the workings of the Godhead through the Holy Spirit.

“…howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries”.
Why should anyone be stupid enough to cheat himself out of God’s beneficence? And concerning the gift of speaking in tongues, the Spirit of God inspired Paul to write, “But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way” (1Corinthians 12:31). Zēloō (dzay-lo’-o) is the Greek for ‘covet earnestly’ which has the definitions of: ‘To burn with zeal. To be heated or to boil with envy, hatred, anger. In a good sense: to be zealous in the pursuit of good. To desire earnestly, pursue.’ In the positivity of desire Paul teaches the pursuit of God’s gifts, one of which is the glossolalia. This is how the Holy Spirit endues with power. You do not have to crave for an unscriptural impartation: the Holy Spirit dwells inside of you the minute you become a born again Christian!
Apostle Joshua Selma is quite obsessed with spiritual power such that he will do anything no matter how Scriptural anomalous it stands. In one of his spiritual excursions he, together with other insincere church leaders, went to visit the tomb of William Marrion Branham – one of the greatest evangelists of our time – and received an impartation of spiritual power from the Holy Spirit by touching the dead man’s tomb! What does this mean? I will tell you what it insinuates. The tombs of Archbishop Idahosa, Moses Orimolade, S.B.J. Oshoffa, Joseph Ayo Babalola, Prophet T.B. Joshua, Olumba Olumba Obu, Pope Leo I, Smith Wigglesworth, Kathryn Kuhlman, Kenneth E. Hagin, Reinhard Bonnke and many others must receive visitations from Christians who crave idolatrous version of spiritual harvests of Holy Spirit’s impartation.

Satan will show things to make you believe him.
Most of these pastors are too impervious of the creepy pads of Satanism into human minds to make them serve the destructive incursion of Lucifer and his demonic operatives. Apostle Joshua Selma picked leaves and petals from the grave side of Branham’s tomb, took them home, mixed them thoroughly in unguents and bottled them for sale. To those who will buy his apothecary jars and bottles, they believe, unfortunately, will constantly be dealing supernaturally with the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ and, of course, make approachable the eternal Father, Whose divine brightness is unapproachable.
Joshua Selma boasts that he has had mysterious encounters with so many “Generals of the Gospel” who imparted immensely to his spiritual adulthood. One of them, a man of middle height, came to him to reveal truths about God’s Kingdom. When he was leaving, he said, “I asked him of his name,” and quoting the visitant, Selma answered, “Paul.” With this revelation, Christianity must be looking for the tomb of Apostle Paul of Tarsus. Reason? Impartation! Most of these Church people, according to Reverend Chris Okotie, are sincere in wanting to do God’s bidding, but in those executions, they are sincerely wrong!
What, frankly speaking, will cause a product of creationism to set himself against the LORD God? I have never seen Him face to face but the Bible makes it so clear that, “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31). We do not care about the excruciating outcome of separation from the LORD of creation. Going against Jehovah, Who exists by His own power, turns one into the exact opposite of good; one becomes evil in thought and in deed. My philosophical rumination taught me, as a teenager, that Lucifer should be as powerful as Jehovah to go against the LORD God – he is still roaming about in his acts of Satanism – and nothing seems to dislodge the status quo. But having understood the word of God, I know that belief is a mere rationalism of fallen carnality of Adamic propensity. Lucifer fell, becoming an exact opposite of good; the truth, of course, is that his evil power is an infinitesimal lowness compared to the Creator. The Devil is neither omnipotent nor omniscient. He is too much of a creature to possess the phenomenality of omnipresence. Satan can only sweet talk you into his mendacity; but at the mention of the name of Jesus, Satanism must bow. Amen!

Getting born again is a conscious effort on the part of an individual. Get born again. You were born in sin. Say this sinner’s prayer.
“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
