KING, SAVIOUR AND PRIEST (5)

Wonderful, Counsellor, mighty God, everlasting Father, The Prince of peace (Isaiah 9:6)
(…continues from part three…)
5) Hebrews 7:26 “For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;” because our Priest on high is ‘holy’, hosios (ho’-siy-os), in Greek, meaning: ‘1. (properly) right (by divine or intrinsic character). 2. (specifically) divinely holy (pious, sacred, sure). 3. (of promise) a divine promise. 4. (of Jesus) Divine Holy One.’ Jesus is the holy One of Luke 1:35, at the Incarnation and Revelation 3:7 when he came all the way from heaven to reveal the last Book of the Bible. He is ‘harmless’ akakos (a’-ka-kos): ‘1. not bad. 2. (objectively) innocent. 3. (subjectively) unsuspecting; unknowing of guilt; guileless.’ His blamelessness becomes crystal clarity when He said to His disciples “for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me” in John 14:30. Jesus is ‘undefiled’ amiantos (a-miy’-an-tos): ‘unsoiled; (figuratively) pure.’ 2Corinthians 5:21 “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” Jesus is too pure and holy to be found wanting in righteousness. The word ‘separate’ is chorizo (chō-riy’-zō) and means: ‘1. to place room between, i.e. part. 2. (reflexively) to go away.’ The Incarnation may have Him clothed in the flesh of Adamic nature, but certainly, had not the pollution of the sinful nature of Adamic fall. His holiness is an eternal separation from sin.
What does it prognosticate by ‘made higher than the heavens’ of Hebrews 7:26? Is He not the Creator of the heavens and the earth? Are the intelligent celestial beings not of the works of His hands? Would the Saviour, after the consummation of the soteriology, when He performed the act of the ascension and the gates were ordered to be lifted for the entrance of the King of glory, not be higher than the heavens – objects of His creation? Heaven falls in worship of Jesus. Hebrews 8:1-3 “Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; 2) A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man. 3) For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.”

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it (Revelation 20:10)
Hebrews 9:11 “But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;” He functions in the perfection of priesthood, seated in the heavenly tabernacle. The word ‘building’ should be rendered ‘creation’ going by the Greek ktisis (ktiy’-sis): ‘original formation; that which was created; creation.’ Unlike the Jerusalem Temple made with the expertise of humanity, the official tabernacle of His priesthood is heaven, a perfect creation of God.
Forever, Jesus, the Creator, is the King, Saviour and our High Priest. As the King of glory, He sits in judgment on the white throne “And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them” (Revelation 20:11). Jesus Himself says in Matthew 25:31-32, “When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32) And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:” in corroboration of Revelation 20:10.

The miracle working Jehovah Jesus
In the ventilation of the vaticinatory erudition of Isaiah, Jesus received sobriquets of, Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of peace (Isaiah 9:6). The Hebraic pele’ (peh’-leh) is the English ‘Wonderful’, meaning: ‘miracle (extraordinary, hard to understand thing).’ This is the reason why I have always maintained that Jesus is the most enigmatic Person to tread on the surface of terra firma. The phenomenality of the miraculous is exclusively God’s métier. The look-alike of miracle, seemingly, is the demonic magic – fraught with manipulations of Satanism.
It is purely miraculous: the Incarnation – when God became a man. The ancient of days became the Infant of days. Sheer act of miracle it is that the Eternal King, our Saviour, Jesus Christ, continues to sit in the sacerdotal office of the celestial Tabernacle for the preservation of man’s redemption. When we go through difficulties, Satan makes us believe God is insensate to our predicaments. The Incarnation, reminding us of Hebrews 4:15, should tell every individual, “He knows and feels what I’m going through.”
Once, during a question and answer session in Household of God Church, I asked Rev. Chris Okotie, “What will be the office of Jesus Christ after the renovation of the heaven and the earth, when we will be living forever?” His answer was, “He will be the King of kings and the Lord of lords.” In those days of eternity to come, the kings and the lords will be the redeemed born again Christians. Praise the LORD!

Jesus will give you rest only if you will receive His life. Get born again. Say this simple prayer:
“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
