Who Is Abel Damina Working For? (xiii)

Damina: “You don’t need (the name of) Jesus anymore;” after salvation.
(…continues from part Twelve…)
13) Damina jocularly terms tithes and offering as ‘transactionary gospel’ as if God does not accommodate religious transactions. Abel Damina’s ignorance will not apprehend the fact that God is a Businessman. The Bible corroborates God’s mind of business. Business languages are employed to teach God’s kingdom reality in Matthew 18:23-35. A similar example is in Matthew 25:14-30. In Matthew 13:45-46, God sold all He had to acquire a land i.e. the soul of earth beings who would receive Jesus as Lord and Saviour. God is a Businessman; He sold everything to acquire Jesus for the Incarnation. For the forgiveness of sin, God asked for sacrificial element of a quadruped – business. When a prophet’s widow run to Elisha seeking money to take care of her home, the prophet asked, “…what hast thou in the house?” An extension of faith towards God’s word is nothing short of doing business with the Almighty. For this reason God said, “prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it].” This is strictly doing business with God. Genesis 28:20-22 20) “And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, 21) So that I come again to my father’s house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God: 22) And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.” There is no way Damina can prove that the words of Jacob were the words of a swindler. It was not an Old Testamentary legality that prompted Jacob to say, “…and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.” It was a personal volition, which did not meet with Divine objection. Why? It was in order.

God is a Businessman; He sold everything to acquire Jesus for the Incarnation.
Maybe not to egregiousness of degree, I cannot help discerning dilettantism in Dr Abel Damina’s teaching of the Bible. How can I get it wrong to say that Damina has the traits of an irresolute oscillating dilettante when, with his own mouth he said, “In the bid to pray for people and help more people, I began to teach?” The truthful teachings on Deity of Jesus and of security of salvation and a couple of others, notwithstanding, lots of the things Damina teaches theologically have wiped out the good ones he teaches. Warning against having the mentality of “praying in the name of Jesus,” Damina pointed out that it means that it is Jesus who has a relationship with God and you are not.
I want to quote Abel Damina verbatim: “If your mentality is like that, you are functioning outside the word of God…. You needed to only come through Jesus once and that’s in salvation. From the moment you come through Jesus once, you and the Father established relationship. You don’t need Jesus anymore. You have a direct access to the Father.” Maniacal malcontentment attitude of Damina is the only thing that will cause him to vomit, “You don’t need Jesus anymore.” Yoruba people have a saying, “The river that forgets (cuts away from) its source will dry up (die).”
Does it say, “Jesus the same yesterday, today and forever?” Does Jesus also say of Himself, “Which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty?” Do these epithets corroborate the eternality of Christ? How can you not need Jesus anymore after He had died, had risen and ascended heaven for you? Phew! If one will ever stop needing Jesus, what is the need for 1Timothy 2:5-6 5) “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6) Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time”?

“If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it” (John 14:14).
Only the warped mind of Satanism, under directive control of the Antichrist will, with the goading of temerariousness, jettison the eternal Mediator – Jesus. Let us read from the Bible to establish Damina’s faux pas. Who said the words of John 14:14 “If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it”? Jesus said it. When a beggar expected money, what did Peter do to give what was more than the beggar’s wish?“Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6).
One thing I believe maniacal malcontentment can do is to push Dr Damina to want to think outside the box to teach God’s Word. You cannot think outside the box, as far as the Bible is concerned, to disseminate biblical facticity. Thinking “outside the box” to do exegesis of the Bible is to walk away from the Logos to explicate theological mind of the Godhead. It is diabolical to dot the i’s and cross the t’s of Scripture outside the revealed word of the Bible.

Get born again by saying this simple prayer.
“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
