Who Is Abel Damina Working For? (iii)

Is there anything God Almighty cannot do?
(…continues from part Two…)
3) Dr Abel Damina teaches the Falsehood of “What God Cannot Do Does Not Exist.” Theologically this thought can be approached from two dimensions. Titus 1:2 clearly asseverates, “God, that cannot lie;” and in Hebrews 6:18 “That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie,…” and in the logical mind of the theologically unschooled, a discovery of the Almighty’s weakness has been duly proved beyond any argument. Is there any smidgeon of reason why God will ever choose to lie? He has nothing untoward to hide. Jehovah is the absolute Truth. In Him is found not deceit. His inability to lie will cause whatever He says to be true! What is viewed as His incapability to lie underscores the strength of His Almighty character. Rather than effect an opening of vista of His weakness, the impossibility of His lying stance breadthens the LORD God’s incorruptibility. Because God cannot lie, this demonstrates His Fatherhood of lights, with Whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning (James 1:17).
The lying heart definitely belongs to a vacillatory idiot. The scriptural rectitude agrees with Pastor Damina and other pastors that what God cannot do does exist. Because God cannot lie He, most definitely, cannot commit any sin. Sinfulness dwells in the midst of antagonism against the express word of God. And this is the very reason why God cannot commit any sin: He will never go against His Word. His Word, Jesus Christ, is the Truth. There is not a smidgen of disagreement between the Father and the Word. Is it not the fool that lies to himself? Why will the Omniscient tamper with untruthfulness?

Is any thing too hard for the LORD, Sarah?
It is not only absurd to believe that God will ever have the capability to lie: it is outrageously sacrilegious to allow it to cross one’s mind. God cannot cheat, bribe, get drunk with wine or power, support Satanism; and God will not judge in unrighteousness. Remember I posited two dimensions to what God does? This is the second dimension to what He can do or does; and it has Scriptural precedence in Luke 1:37 “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” It is the LORD God Who first uttered this fact way back in Genesis 18:14 “Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.” In the Book of Luke, the contextual key word is ‘nothing’, which, understood from three Greek words, are ou (oo): ‘no, not;’ pas (pas): ‘individually, each, every, any, all;’ and rhēma (hray’-mah): ‘that which is or has been uttered by the living voice, thing spoken, word.’
What the angel actually told a disbelieving Mary was, “For with God not any word (ou pas rhēma) of God’s utterance shall be impossible of execution.” Let us go to Genesis where we have the noun ‘any thing,’ dâbâr (daw-baw’) in Hebrew, meaning: ‘a word; by implication a matter (as spoken of) of thing; adverbially a cause.’ So, the transcription of God’s utterance, according to Hebraic definition is, “Is any spoken word of God impossible for Him to perform?” Let us understand this theological issue. Does God select only the things He is capable of doing and just jettisons those beyond His capability? Wrong question, this is. God owns everything visible and those without any physical palpability. He is the Almighty in the truest sense of almightiness as per His Omniscience, Omnipotence and Omnipresence. What, truly speaking, can or should pose the slightest difficulty for Him? Being the true Owner of all, His Divinity decides what obtains. What God decides is the absolute good. What He lends not His dâbâr or rhēma does not, theologically, exist. Simple. It is the going against the mind of God, the Almighty Creator, that actually constitutes a sin i.e. ‘missing the mark’ of Divine standard. So, as far as the scriptural understanding is concerned, there certainly are things God cannot do. Amen.

This is the Ascension of Jesus (Mark 16:19).
Dr Abel Damina teaches that “Jesus did not ascend to heaven.” Let us look at some of his arguments for this teaching: i. After His resurrection, Jesus was purely immaterial, therefore, He could change to whatever He wanted or even disappear. ii. It was an angel who spoke the words of Acts 1:11; an angel who did not know much: according to Abel Damina, he maintains that what the angel told the disciples has no scriptural corroboration. iii. Jesus disappeared and went into them – the disciples. iv. Jesus maintains, “I will be with you always.” v. Is the quotation of John 14:18 not, “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” vi. Angels are still learning from us – Christians. vii. Jesus is not coming back. So, let us go into the analyses of Damina’s postulations in the next part iv.

Get born again by saying this simple prayer.
“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
