Of Salvation (4)

4)            The continuation of Jude 1:1 is “Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied(Jude 1:2). The Christian is too blessed to miss heaven. The true Christian essence is to teach the word of God, Jesus Christ. The Christian is expected to show the work of his Christianity on earth before the throne of Jesus. If the work of his Christian faith is not of God’s standard, the Bible says, “If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire (1Corinthians 3:15). The word ‘suffer loss’ is zemioo (zee-miy-o’-ō): ‘1. to injure; 2. (reflexively or passively) to experience detriment.’ Look at this verse very well. It does not say that the person of Christianity will either experience injury or experience detriment; rather it is the handiwork of his hand. So, why should he himself be saved? John 3:16 has the answer. Another reason is found the Pauline, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee(Hebrews 13:5). The word ‘said’ is ereo (e’r-eh-rō): ‘1. to declare (i.e. I shall declare -or- I have declared). 2. to state (to declare definitively, as in a treatise, but in question form).’ God declares to the Christian, the words of Hebrews 13:5.

Of this salvation is this facticity that the teachers of the possibility of loss of salvation fail to acknowledge. What intimation does Jesus bring to us, teaching on marriage? Matthew 19:8 “He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.” This salvation is in actual fact a betrothal to the Divinity. If this be scripturally so, why will God put us away? Two verses before this one reads, “Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder” (Matthew 19:6).

Will the LORD God’s Omniscience look for a bride whose marriage to the Second Member of the Godhead will end up in termination? Why should God say, “Amen,” to a conjugation that will not mirror what it is from the beginning? Will God not have failed in keeping His marriage, being the Almighty, if a saved soul loses it? These things Cyprian of Carthage, St. Augustine of Hippo and Jacobus Arminius fail to acknowledge before teaching the possibility of a born again Christian not being able to persevere in the journey of Adamic salvation. Does the Author of the soteriology not asseverate, “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” (John 10:28).

What is the Greek for ‘life’ in this verse? It is zōē (dzo-ay’): ‘God’s kind of eternal life.’ The first ‘shall’ is apollumi (ap-ol’-loo-mee): ‘to destroy fully.’ The next word, ‘never’, has three definitions: oumē (oo may): ‘certainly not;’ eis (ice): ‘into, unto, to, towards;’ and aion (ahee-ohn’): ‘for ever, an unbroken age. ‘Perish’ is apollumi (ap-ol’-loo-mee), same as ‘shall’ above. Then we have ‘pluck’, harpazō (har-pad’-zo): ‘to seize, carry off by force.’ This ‘pluck’ is a vicious act, not different from ‘shall’ above. Of salvation, according to the Lord Jesus, what the born again, saved souls receive from Him is this quality of life: the eternality of God’s. As pertaining to its essence, it is so tamper proof that it is absolutely impossible for any satanic destruction of this regenerated life; neither can any viciousness seize it from the professed Christian. John 10:28 is the glorified oath that adorns the regenerated life of the saved one, according to the Bible. Amen.

Can the mortality of my carnal frame carry out any smidgeon of maintenance on this new life in Jesus? If there is something required for my personal sustention of God’s soteriology, it means that I have to continue from where Jesus performed the Golgotha sanguineous sacrificial consummation. The thing is, do I possess the omnipotence that God the Father wielded in the actuation of the soteriological conception?  Do I possess the momentum to engage in a personal perseverance? Have we forgotten the eternal words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28 “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest? The word ‘heavy laden’ is phortizō (for-tid’-zo), a religious toil defined as: ‘To place a burden upon, to load. Metaphorically to load one with a burden (of rites and unwarranted precepts); (figuratively) to overburden with ceremony (or spiritual anxiety).’

This was the story of Jewish religious palaver that Jesus Christ offered to save Israel and by extension, the whole world from. The word ‘rest’ is anapauō (an-ap-ow’-o): ‘to cause or permit one to cease from any movement or labour in order to recover and collect his strength.’ How can God be helped – by a man – to put His conception in proper order? Is man not too incapable of perfecting the already perfection of the soteriology?

How can Christianity not see the New Birth à la Christology through theological quiddity? When Jesus entered into sinfulness by bearing our sins on Himself on the cross of Calvary, did He not die in His entrance into the grave? But one fact of acknowledgement is that His body did not see putrid corruption that every dead person undergoes. Psalm 16 is Messianic, verse 10 reads, “For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Jesus Christ is one with the Father and the Holy Spirit, therefore, He must be protected from corruption. Do Christians form a mystical body with Jesus, the Holy One of Israel? Why should theirs be different from the Christological understanding through the lens of theology, when Jude 1:1-2 is properly considered?

Just in case one needs to know what is expected of a born again Christian, you are expected to tell others about Jesus and His Golgotha finished work of salvation. Lead them to pray the prayer of salvation. Live a life that glorifies the name of Jesus: teach the truth of Scripture; pray in Jesus’ name always; go to Church regularly. What is the result when we do these things? We will gain for ourselves crowns of incorruption in heaven.

Getting born again is a conscious effort on the part of an individual. Get born again. Say this sinner’s prayer.
