I Will Build My Church (Four)
Our life is hid with Christ in God. Christ is our life.
(…continues from part THREE…)
4) God is a businessman Who does not lose tiniest fraction of His investment. Did the lazy and unfaithful servant of God lose the talent of money he would not even trade with? He returned it just as it was given to him. God does not, technically speaking, lose things. Every born again Christian has come back to life eternal, sustained and maintained by the Author of salvation. Colossians 3:3-5 3) “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4) When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. 5) Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:” and this fifth verse does not, in any way, imply what we must do to maintain this new birth. The word ‘mortify’ is the Greek nekroō (nek-ro’-o): ‘to make dead, to put to death, slay, to deprive of power, destroy the strength of; to deaden, that is, (figuratively) to subdue.’ While on the cross of substitutionary death, Jesus Christ took all the sins of Adamic commission and nailed them to the cross. In the same vein, Christians are also expected to deaden the urge to commit sin.
The enemy will introduce these acts of sinfulness, definitely, but children of God ought to live up to the regenerated life in Christ Jesus. Satan, I have always made it clear, works twenty-five hours everyday; he knows what buttons to press in the mortality of our flesh to cause us to sin against the LORD God. All we need to do is to remember and to use God’s word to counter demonic operatives. Render satanic advancement inoperative by ignoring inordinate fleshly propensities: this is how to mortify our members when Satanism tries to control our emotions. We must mortify our members, not for the reason of keeping our salvation intact, but to prove the essence of our soteriological actuality. The Author of creationism Who also fashioned salvation is the One Who preserves the salvation of mankind.
They heard the first teaching of Christianity from Peter on the Day of Pentecost and God did something: “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls” (Acts 2:41). The Spirit of God, taking over as Jesus promised: they increased. Acts 2:46-47 “And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47)Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
God built His Church, His most treasured business venture and never to forsake her. Ephesians 5:30-31, “For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31) For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32) This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.”
Is there any doubt that a sensible person will not tear off any useful organ of his being? God’s avowal of, “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee,” is appropriately for the mystical body of Christ: the Christians, His eternal Bride. Colossians 1:18 “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.” For two reasons I see: that got the Saviour of the world stopping Saul, later Paul from hunting down Christians. 3) “And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: 4) And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? 5) And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks” (Acts 9:3-5). The first reason was to protect His investment: Christianity. The second is to anoint Saul as the twelfth Apostle, who would receive the responsibility to the nurturing of the nascent Church to maturity. Christianity must be enabled to ward off every intent of Satanism.
The Rapture of the Bride
The essential reason for the rapture is to ensure the safety of Christianity when the Antichrist must, as a matter of justice, be allowed to have his day (one week or rather seven years). What is more, it will be unfair to allow the Church of the living God to remain on earth during the seven years, with the turbulence of the second half when Satan’s son must unleash brutality as never seen. The unfairness is that many Christians who know the God they serve and are full of the Holy Spirit will thwart the evil designs of Satanism. Jesus gave Christianity the power that surpasses that of Lucifer. Our steps are ordered by the King of glory, ensuring the words of Romans 16:20 “And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.” The word ‘shortly’ is made up of en (en): ‘in, by, with’ and tachos (takh’-os): ‘quickness, swiftness, speed, fleetness, velocity;’ and when put together it means: ‘in alacrity.’ Satan, who gave his son, the Antichrist, all his power, is bruised under our feet entachos (shortly), so, how would his dependent son fare, left alone with the righteous indignation of the Church? Selah! This is the Church of God’s building: 17) “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18) They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” (Mark 16:17-18). Amen.
To be an overcomer, become a Christian; get born again.
You can put on the righteousness of Jesus by getting born again. Say this simple prayer, meaning it from your heart:
“Dear heavenly Father, I come to You now in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sin. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and I receive Him now as my Lord and my Saviour. I give God all the glory. Amen!”
