Isaiah 9:6

KING, SAVIOUR AND PRIEST (5)

In the ventilation of the vaticinatory erudition of Isaiah, Jesus received sobriquets of, Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of peace (Isaiah 9:6). The Hebraic pele' (peh’-leh) is the English ‘Wonderful’, meaning: 'miracle (extraordinary, hard to understand thing).’ This is the reason why I have always maintained that Jesus is the most enigmatic Person to tread on the surface of terra firma. The phenomenality of the miraculous is exclusively God’s métier. The look-alike of miracle, seemingly, is the demonic magic – fraught with manipulations of Satanism. It is purely miraculous: the Incarnation – when God became a man. The ancient of days became the Infant of days. Sheer act of miracle it is that the Eternal King, our Saviour, Jesus Christ, continues to sit in the sacerdotal office of the celestial Tabernacle for the preservation of man’s redemption. When we go through difficulties, Satan makes us believe God is insensate to our predicaments. The Incarnation, reminding us of Hebrews 4:15, should tell every individual, “He knows and feels what I’m going through.” Read More

KING, SAVIOUR AND PRIEST (1)

It takes an individual of eternality to gain an entry into the sacerdotal office in the empyrean assizes. Only a Being of timelessness can, as a matter of legality, take the sacerdotal stand between a needy Adamic nature and the LORD God, Who sits eternally in heaven. Selah! Of truth He is the One Who prophetically sits on the white horse, called Faithful and True, and the Warrior Judge, Whose eyes were as a flame of fire; on Whose head sits crowns, and having a name none knew save Himself– is it not only God that knows what none has knowledge of? The Hebrew Jehovah is the Saviour. Jesus, the Divine King, is the manifestation of the unseeing Saviour. Salvation of mankind is the sole preserve of the Almighty God. The superstructure of the soteriology is the Person of the Divinity. This God of gods and Lord of kings as well is not different from the fourth Person whose presence, in the furnace of death-sentence passed by Nebuchadnezzar, the annihilating fire turned into a cool air conditioner. The word ‘Lord’ is Aramaic mare' (maw-ray') meaning: ‘a master.’ This King, Saviour and Priest is not, in any way, different in Divine essence from the Eternal Father.Read More

REJECT THE WORDS OF JESUS TO YOUR OWN PERIL (5)

The Christ, the eternal Word of God, became a man; He could only become what, from the eternality of the past, He was not. From the eternal past Jesus Christ was God, face to face with the Father, as the couch of the first verse means. These epithets –Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace – point, unquestionably, to the Deity of Jesus. This is the Scriptural seventy weeks; which unfolding events proved it not to be a literal 490 days but, in actual fact, four hundred and ninety years. Biblical historicity saw the ascension – after His resurrection – of Jesus exactly in the four hundred and eighty-third year after Daniel’s prediction. The remaining seven years has stretched into millennia – an intercalated Church Age – to preach the gospel of Christ which is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. What else can I do, save to exclaim the Pauline, “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out” (Romans 11:33)!Read More

SCRIPTURAL SIGNIFICANCE OF TWELVE (I)

The Messianic reality of establishment coming from the given Son further establishes the Incarnation. The birth of the child underscores the emergence of the Second Man – the second six or twelve –, the Last Adam, being the most enigmatic One to tread upon the surface of terra firma. The Lord from the Rainbow Administration of the empyrean assizes cannot be born: for a being of Adamic procreation begins life in the womb. The Christ, Whose goings forth is from eternality of the timeless past, can only be given, ergo, the Incarnation. Amen. His Incarnation brought the timelessness of the Christ into the time of our world. Seven days for a week accounts for the perfection of His being. Twelve number of months for every year makes Him the Owner of our days. In the heavenly assizes, there are twenty-four lesser thrones forming an arc round the empyrean Majesty. The twenty-four elders represent the perfect Church that does not fail to give the true latria to the Most High Jehovah, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. The first time the number twelve appears in Scripture is in Genesis 14:4 “Twelve years they served Chedorlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.” This number of soteriological significance easily translates service. Chedorlaomer’s tyranny forced five kingdoms under its domination for twelve years. They failed to stay liberated because they bypassed Christ, the true Owner of the number twelve, believing in their physical warring strength. It took the number of grace – five – for Abraham, friend of Christ, the LORD of Psalm 24, to redeem Lot from Chedorlaomer’s grip. They were five kingdoms only in physical numeration, denying the power of the grace of God, hence, they failed to break successfully from the tyrannical grip of Chedorlaomer.Read More

UNVEILING THE SECOND MEMBER OF THE GODHEAD [seven]

The ‘holy thing' is first and foremost the foetal creationism of the Holy Spirit, the progeny that births Adam all over again. Sinless Jesus: He is the perfection of the regeneration of fallen Adamic race. Why did the Holy Spirit move upon the waters of darkness in the first chapter of Genesis? Was it not to generate the divine power to actuate this unique incarnation? The darkness of Satanism, throughout the gestational period that led to the eventual accouchement of Jesus Christ, could not stop the parturition of the holy pregnancy. It was an impossibility. The Incarnation was a divine must. Hallelujah! It says in Luke 2:11 “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” The Hebraic sobriquet of Jesus is Yehôshûa‛ (yeh-ho-shoo'-ah) i.e. Joshua or Jehoshua: meaning ‘Jehovah is salvation'.Read More

ISAIAH CHAPTER NINE VERSE SIX (three)

Jesus, as the Prince of peace, is the potentate ruler of absolute peace. Only God can sit as the Governor of perfect peace. The Isaiah 9:6 title of 'Prince,' śar (sar) is: 'a head person (of any rank or class).' 'Peace' is shâlôm (shaw-lome'): 'safe, that is, (figuratively) well, happy, friendly; also (abstractly) welfare, that is, health, prosperity, peace.' A halcyon millennium rule of true tranquillity over the entire globe falls within His capability as the overall God, blessed forever. Amen. His Lordship is over the elements, circumstances, men and even the brutish animals. Read More

ISAIAH CHAPTER NINE VERSE SIX (two)

The epithets of this Gift to humanity are absolutely of the Divinity. The first of the given Son's name is 'Wonderful' and it is pele' (peh'-leh) in the Hebrew, meaning: 'miracle, marvel, wonder (extraordinary, hard to understand thing), wonder (of God's acts of judgment and redemption).' While other works of wonderment are of magical orientation, Jehovah alone performs miracles. Does history know of anyone who performed or performs more miracles than Jesus? He, it was, who went about doing good things, I mean, good things beyond human endowed capabilities. Read More

ISAIAH CHAPTER NINE VERSE SIX (one)

If it is pertaining to soteriological theme, and we all understand that God alone can save, then this Son is the incarnation of the holy One of Israel, and most absolutely, the LORD God who did form Adam and his woman in the Garden of Eden. He had come to retrieve that which Adam lost. "And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world" [1John 4:14]. If Jesus is the Saviour, with a capital 'S' then one of my favourite verses, "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made" [John 1:3], is the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Amen. Read More

CATHOLICISM AND MARY (I)

Could Mary have given birth to Christ, God the Son? One can only beget a one coming into the existence of creationism for the first time. Of truth is the fact that there is nothing too hard for the LORD to do. But it is also a crystal pellucidity that it will amount to spiritual incongruity for a creature to beget the Author of creationism. The simple fact is that the begotten is actually coming into existence for the first time. If Mary did beget the Ancient of days then she was nothing less than a Goddess (with capital 'G'): for Jehovah's deity is of the true living God. Should Mary be a Goddess the Apostolic ink would have had it couched in God's protocol. Christ's eternal being would have ceased. He would have to be brought under a new beginning of existence. THE TRUTH OF ALL TRUTHS (II)

Tsô'âh (tso-aw') is the Hebrew for 'filthiness' and it is defined as: 'excrement; generally dirt; figuratively pollution.' About 90% of Indians would rather be plunged into the Ganges for purification than come to the saving grace of Jesus, the Way, Truth and the Life. Sadducean perspective, the purity of Pharisaicalness and especially the monastic shun of the world of sin stance of the Essenes, all of which are devoid of the sacrificial Lamb of God, amount to nothing!Read More

THE TRUTH OF ALL TRUTHS (I)

The Truth does not run into any spasmodic jittery at the thought of being discovered. The Truth will remain seated, awaiting the crowd just as Jesus sat, to feed them who responded to the evangelism of the woman at the well of Sychar. One huge importance of truthfulness is to bring soberness into the mind inebriated with falsehood. At Sychar He taught a ‘must’ when He said, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth," in John 4:24. It was quite germane for Him to teach the Truth in 'Sychar,' which has the definition of 'liar or drunkard.'Read More

The Incarnation teaches the doctrine of the hypostatic union. The first time I heard this from the tutoring lips of Reverend Chris Okotie, I went “Wow!” Hypostatic union means that Jesus Christ was one hundred percent God and one hundred percent man. Incredulous!Read More
