Faith Versus Empirical Veridicality [2]

Science and art are the ones crying for relevance; God is not the One who must use science and art for His Divine relevance. The perseity of science and art, from the perspective of the mentality of philosophy is fraught with Adamic errors. Science does not exist outside the scope of creationism. What we need to be theologically relevant is not the rationalism of empirical precision. The gargantuan stature of Goliath could not scare David, his love for the God of Israel made him ventilate the 1Samuel 17:26 query of, “…for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?” Faith in the God of Israel was the actuating force that told him to deal, personally, with the excesses of Goliath.Read More

Faith Versus Empirical Veridicality [1]

The very second you try to rationalize God’s protocol, you, most definitely, call His Divine sapience to question. That is why I view lack of faith as the biggest sin, in that, your faithless proclivity calls Jehovah God “a Liar!” You call, most definitely, His claim of, “But with God nothing shall be impossible” to microscopic scrutiny, asking scientific empiricism to decide on the truth! Do you realize that when you suffer the existential phenomenon of man’s experience to swing your reasoning a la empirical slant in total disregard of faith in the word of God, you have just dropped the ball, hindering your eternal walk with the Creator? Genesis 3:6 quotes the LORD God, telling His story, to Moses: “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.” The woman pushed faith aside, believing the phenomenality of the calculative pleasantness seen on the cursed fruit!Read More

WHO ELSE, IF NOT JESUS? (XIV)

Who is Helena Blavatsky? An occultist. What about Emanuel Swedenborg, was he not a satanic medium? The New Agers do not accept the Lordship of Jesus Christ. They do not believe that He is the Messiah. The Bible says something about them in 1John 4:3 “And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.” John the divine was warning against anyone wanting to have any spiritual bonding with the likes of Cerinthus and his Gnosticism. They would rather, like Cain, go with Satanism. The Holy Spirit had not taken them through spiritual parturition. To them he has these verses as well, “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 19) They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us” [1John 2:18-19].Read More

Righteousness (3)

It is not our righteousness, as the Bible instructs in Ephesians 4:24, "And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true." The verb ‘put on’ is enduo (en-doo'-o) ‘to invest with clothing.’ The adjective ‘new’ is kainos (kai-nos') ‘new (especially in freshness);’ and ‘create’ is ktizo (ktid'-zo) ‘to fabricate, i.e. found (form originally).’ Righteousness is a toga, a state of being, as a matter of fact. It is a toga that remains ever fresh all because the eternal LORD keeps it an eternal reality. Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:6 "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." The truth is that one cannot hunger after these virtues without being born again.Read More

HAPPY NEW 2020 YEAR!

You can never lose –if you put all your eggs in just one basket. The wisdom of the world counsels you not to put all your eggs in one basket lest you run into economic loss. But as far as the word of God is concerned you must put all your eggs in one basket: the basket of Jesus. Whatever calculations they operate into your life you will not lose. If the enemy should perform a mathematical 20-20=0 or 2-2=0, the Bible says all their calculated machinations shall come to a big, fat nought –zero. Let them carry out an operation of multiplication with the numbers, let it not lead you into any apprehension, they have succeeded in making a Jabez of your life.Read More

IS THE LORD GOD THE AUTHOR OF MORAL EVIL? (one)

Why would God give a restrictive law of "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die" [Genesis 2:17], if not to save them from the consequences of the negativity of erratic ill. Another prevalent truth stems from the facticity that Eden is God's home; and rules must guard every abode, not forgetting that the entire earth is the LORD's. God made us free moral agents as attested to in Genesis 2:16 "And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:" The same God expects us to follow His revealed will. Your refusal to honour His word will place you before His celestial assizes. God's irreproachability, having told man what to do, is evident.Read More

Tithes Revisited (one)

The legalism of Old Testament, concerning tithing, which they employ, does not hold any argumentative water at all. Abraham, who first offered his tithe did not have to comply out of any religious and coercive straitjacket terms. Father Abraham gave it out of sheer faith. Now we can comfortably say that God had no choice but to give an imprimatur to an idea solely envisioned by faithful Abraham, to bless HIS Israelites.

It was not only a case of God knowing this in eternity of the past, HE was the One who deposited the thought into Abraham's heart. Amen.

TRINITY OF THE GODHEAD (5)

Isaiah 42:8, "I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images" is an established fact that God does not share honour and worship. Why –have you ever asked yourself–- would attributes of Divinity be shared among the Trinity? What a perfect plan of Divinity is in operation: God, the Father, sits in the celestial assizes as the absolute Judge; God, the Son, is seated as the Eternal Advocate; the Divine Witness is none other than the Holy Spirit! TRINITY OF THE GODHEAD (1)

This is the verity of the Godhead.

Eternally seated on the throne is One.

Through the macrocosmic truism of creationism, in the corporeality of the Godhead, of Himself, traverses One.

Filling to the brim, the entire universe and creation, and to an overflowing is, yet of HIM, the Third One.

Who among the Three-like-One and the One-like-Three is greater or the greatest?

I AM GRATEFUL TO JEHOVAH (II)

My son, Ogoluwa, an IT giant, designed this on my 61st birthday.  (…continued from the 1st part) The word ‘terror’ of Psalm 91:5, in the Hebrew, is pachad (pakh’-ad) and it means: ‘object of dread; a (sudden) alarm (properly the object feared, by implication the feeling).’ The Lord God delivered me from the...Read More

A needle tiny object falls or gets misplaced and a little, "God, please help me find this thing," prayer is all I need to say, for God to accord my ocular prowess the capability to beam my visual competence on this otherwise inconsequential thing. Small, inconsequential things do have their ways of needling you to madness. My deep rooted gratitude goes to God for attending to these little things which to You, dear God, “are not just little things in the eyes of Your love, oh! LORD!” as one of Reverend Chris Okotie's songs says.Read More

Get Jesus Involved (2)

Daniel involved Jesus when he opened the window towards Jerusalem in Daniel 6:10 for he remembered the 1Kings 8:44 supplication of Solomon. He had, from his teenage days, been involving the Christ, when he rejected the king's food of idolatry. And by time he had become an elderly man Daniel's involvement with the LORD was total. He had come to an absolute trust in Jehovah and did not want to depart from Him.Read More

Get Jesus Involved (1)

Manoah had involved Jesus when he prayed to God for a son. The epithet 'angel of the LORD' is, in many cases, the epiphany of the unseen Jehovah. This is the preincarnate manifestation of Christ Jesus. He said HIS name is 'secret' which in Hebrew is pil'ı̂y or pâlı̂y' (pil-ee') meaning: 'wonderful, remarkable, incomprehensible, extraordinary.' Who does the oracular afflatus call 'wonderful'? It is the expected Messiah of Isaiah 9:6. It is Jesus the Christ. As many times Samson got Jesus involved he brought the extortionate belligerency of the enmity of the Philistines to their knees.Read More

It is a well-known fact that Job was, personally, guiltless of the predicament he found himself. He faced his trials with a certain equanimity. Tribulations are good for us. They teach us how to wear the fitting robe of patience. It is getting worse these days after six thousand years of Adam's unfortunate act that has plunged man into this quaggy state of depravity.Read More

FAITH RESPONSIBLE (II)

The reason for all this exegesis on faith is to get us to the right place; and that happens to be in Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6, "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:" for at His appearance we would need not exercise any more faith having come face to face with Him who is the Amen.Read More

FAITH RESPONSIBLE (I)

Faith is an established understanding in the heart which one sees as the solution to problems. The foundational ground of faith is of utmost importance. To the unlearned heart, faith can come from anywhere, and to such mind, it is debatable when you say that true faith stems from the knowledge of the word of God, in the name of Jesus. Your faith cannot stand the true test of global vicissitudes outside Christ based faith. All other ground, as the hymn renders, is sinking sand.Read More

THE GAME IS UP!!! (Part one)

In his exhilarating fashion of catechism, the ebullient teacher of the Bible, Rev Chris Okotie, in his exegesis of Genesis 1:14 submitted that, "There's no third light. The Antichrist is not a light." Ponderous a manna for human cogitation. "Jesus," he said, "is the greater sun light while Adam is the lesser moon light," in conclusion, “you are the stars,” addressing the Household Of God Church born again congregation. Very truthfully apropos, I do agree.Read More

How To Get Born Again (part one)

At the resurrection of Jesus Christ He is the sole legal tender Lamb of the salvation of mankind. The Bible says in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" signifying that man is in need of salvation. It also reminds one of Ezekiel 18:4, "Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die." Man has been plunged into an untold spiritual quagmire.Read More
